Chinese citizens who want to visit relatives and friends or do business in Congo (Brazzaville) can apply for a visa at the Embassy of Congo (Brazzaville) in China in Beijing.
According to the current regulations of the Congo, when individuals come to Congo for private purposes and apply for a visa at the Embassy of Congo (Brazzaville) in China, they must hold the following documents: an invitation letter issued by a relative, friend or employer who has obtained a residence visa in Congo (Brazzaville), the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Congo
Notarized invitation letter issued by the Embassy of Congo (Brazzaville), and a certificate of residence of the invitee provided by the inviter issued by the Immigration Bureau of Congo (Brazzaville).
Under normal circumstances, applicants can obtain an ordinary visa that is valid for one entry and has a stay period of 90 days.
After the parties arrive in Congo, if they need to extend their stay, they can apply for a 3-month short-term residence visa and a 1-year or 3-year long-term residence visa.
As of November 22, 2016, there are 58 countries and regions that are visa-free and visa-on-arrival for Chinese passports. The United Arab Emirates and Ukraine are newly exempted from visa-on-arrival.
