Introduction of workers' village
Workers' Village is a famous residential area for workers in Shenyang. It is located in the southwest of Tiexi District, east to Gong Wei Street, south to No.12 Road, west to Heavy Industry Street and north to No.10 Road, with an area of 0.60 square kilometers. Workers' village area was a vegetable field before 195 1 year, with only three carriage lanes for transporting vegetables. 1952 In September, according to Chairman Mao's directive spirit of "improving workers' lives on the basis of increasing production", the Shenyang Municipal People's Committee invested120,000 yuan to start housing construction in the workers' village, which was named as the workers' village by the municipal government. The first phase of the 1952 project was completed in February, and 79 three-story red brick and red tile buildings appeared in the wilderness. 1954 completed 13 building, 1957 completed 5 1 building. Up to now, five buildings with a building area of 730,000 square meters and a building area of 400,000 square meters have been formed, making them the earliest workers' residential buildings in the Republic. In the future, other enterprises will build staff dormitories near the workers' village. After the completion of the first phase, a total of 7000 working families moved into their new homes. 1953 workers' village residents' committee was established. 1955 1 workers' village sub-district office was established.
