After hearing the arguments of both sides, the magistrate said to Lin Daqin, "I will give you a pair. If you are right, it means that you are his teacher, so I will double his salary. If you can't do it, it is a primary school student, and there is nothing. " Lin Daqin said "good". It's raining on cloudy days, and it's very dark in the county government. A lamp was lit on the county magistrate's case, and the county magistrate said, "A lamp is used to investigate the case. It is clearly lit and you can see things clearly." Lin Daqin thought for a moment, looked up at the rich man and said, "Five taels of silver, one class, cold coming and summer going, can withstand spring, summer, autumn and winter." The magistrate clapped his hands and said yes, so he sentenced the rich man to a fine of 12 silver.

It is gold that always shines. Soon, Lin Daqin was really invited to teach in the bookstore in Sunpan Township, and lived in the bookstore in the ancestral temple. After that, he put down his chopsticks, took out a pen and paper in the room, wrote a couplet and gave it to the beggar, saying, "Mr. Sun in the village must have invited many dignitaries to celebrate his birthday today. Take this couplet and eat whatever you want. " The beggar was dubious, but he went anyway.

Mr. Sun is a famous family in Sunpan Township, and his eldest son-in-law is Chen Gongsong, assistant minister of the imperial Ministry of Industry. The name of the second son-in-law is Weng Wanda. She has just been admitted to Jinshi this year, and she is still waiting for Jinshi at home. On Mr. Sun's birthday, there were many distinguished guests at home, and everyone took their seats in turn. Suddenly, a man named Hua came out of the door and kept saying that he had a big gift to send. Mr. Sun is a gentleman, so he invited him in and asked him to give a present to see what it was. It turned out to be a newly written couplet: "Days add years to life, and spring is full of kungfu pictures." It means that Mr. Sun's birthday is like an increasing day year by year, and spring fills the family hall. The handwriting flies like a dragonfly. Everyone here praised it as a good couplet, so they asked the beggar where it came from when they were sitting in the beggar's house for dinner. To tell the truth, the beggar is a little teacher in the bookstore. Mr. Sun woke up suddenly, and hurriedly sent for Lin Daqin. Weng Wanda came up with a riddle poem to see if Lin Daqin could solve it. The poem says: "When the emissary is missing, send Dan Qing in one word; The cow head is full of meat, and the pig is cooked with a knife. " The mystery is four words: the preacher left, leaving "experts"; Next to a word and green is "please"; The cow's head ate the left "noon"; Pigs belong to the sea, and they borrow knives as "carvings".
