In the 1980s (about 1985), Wang Zhengqiu, the former director of Langzhong Beef and Mutton Processing Factory, the predecessor of Zhang Fei Beef Company, was officially named Zhang Fei Beef because of his dark face and red heart. Langzhong white sugar steamed bread is a snack created by Ha Hui Gongkui in Langzhong during the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty.
