Beef balls are the symbol of Shantou. It is not an easy task to make beef balls, but it needs to be tempered over a long period of time. Therefore, almost every beef ball shop on the street has been handed down from my grandparents.

2. Sweet dumplings

There are many ways to eat sweet dumplings. You can eat them directly by slicing them cold, or you can eat them after frying them. They are sweet, soft and waxy, tough and chewy.

3. Tide-style tofu flower

Tide-style tofu flower is made by boiling thick soybean milk and adding sweet potato powder. It is different from tofu flower in other places. Tide-style tofu flower has a dense taste, like glutinous rice, and can be added with brown sugar, white sugar and peanut powder, which is very distinctive.
