Xuanwu Lake is located in Xuanwu District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, with Purple Mountain in the east, Ming City Wall in the west, Nanjing Station in the north and Zhoushan in the south. It is the largest city park in Jiangnan, the largest royal garden lake in China and the only royal garden in Jiangnan. It is known as the "Pearl of Jinling", also known as Houhu and Beihu.

Xuanwu Lake is rhombic, with a total scenic area of 5. 13 square kilometers and a lake area of 3.78 square kilometers. Five continents (Zhou Huan, Yingzhou, Lingzhou, Liangzhou and Cuizhou) divide lakes into three parts, namely, North Lake (Northeast Lake, Northwest Lake), Southeast Lake and Southwest Lake, with the North Lake shallow, the Southwest Lake deep and the Southeast Lake second.

The toilet god gate is located in the northwest corner of Xuanwu Lake, which is one of the thirteen gates in Nanjing in Ming Dynasty. There is an outer urn with two doors. The urn has left and right openings, which are not opposite to the gate. The mountain gate is a single-hole arch ticket structure, and the mountain gate is a three-bay double-eaves pavilion rebuilt during Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty.

Lovers Garden is located on the east bank of Xuanwu Lake, southwest of the middle section of Longpan Road outside Taiping Gate, and south of Xuanwu Lake Huanhu Road. It is a natural landscape garden in the south of the Yangtze River with the theme of displaying wild medicinal plants and serving sightseeing, leisure and wedding. It was planned and designed by Mr. Zhu Youjun, a famous landscape architect in China.

Lovers Garden is adjacent to Xuanwu Lake in the south and Zijin Mountain in the east, with a total area of 300,000 square meters, of which the water area is100,000 square meters. Parks not only have sightseeing, viewing, leisure, entertainment, wedding and other functions.
