A composition describing shouts

Recently, I learned Xiao Gan's article Shout, which vividly described all kinds of shouts in old Beijing. After reading it, I want to write about the cries of Shantou.

Shantou is a land of delicious food. Throughout the year, vendors often push carts around the streets, shouting incessantly. Especially in the summer afternoon, there are always some vendors selling beancurd and hay (turtle paste) on the street. Holding a porcelain bowl in one hand and a chopstick in the other, they knocked and shouted at the top of their voices: "Tofu pudding-grass cake-frozen grass cake." Just announce what you are selling, and don't brag about anything at all. The voice is cadence and full of charm, which makes people salivate after listening. I always like to buy two bowls after school. First, I can afford it, and I can buy one bowl for fifty cents. Second, it tastes good and is hygienic. When you get home, sprinkle a layer of brown sugar, or pour a layer of honey on it, mix it well and send it to your mouth eagerly. It's cool and refreshing, and it's very fresh. The canned turtle ling cream sold in the supermarket is much more delicious.

Chaoshan * * * has eight sounds, while Mandarin has only four, so the hawking sound in Shantou is more interesting than that in old Beijing. Shouting, the tone is ups and downs, but it doesn't seem abrupt, but it makes people feel like a kind of enjoyment.

In old Beijing, there were many kinds of shouting styles. Some shouted to tell you the process of making, and some used the first thing to describe the second thing. But Shantou's hawking voice is not. Shantou's hawking voice is always so simple and simple, just to attract the attention of people in the past.

When you pass a pedestrian street or the entrance of a clothing store, you can often hear the enthusiastic cries of vendors: "Go north and south, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, pass by, don't miss it!" "Don't miss the overall price reduction!" ..... The hawking sounds attract people in the past just like oral advertisements. Often accompanied by hawking, pedestrians stop and ask the vendors, "How much is a piece?"

If the price is reasonable, they will happily pick up some satisfactory clothes and leave with the voice of the vendor "come back when you are free". In front of some large-scale clothing stores, there will even be several salespeople clapping their hands and shouting to attract business.

However, with the development of the times, some vendors are not shouting hard now. They recorded the sound and played it out with loudspeakers. But in any case, Shantou's hawking technology has not been lost.
