My hometown is in a county town in the northeast. There are many special foods in my hometown. If foreign friends come to visit, I will recommend pot-stewed meat, pork-killing dishes and jiaozi stuffed with sauerkraut. Every place will have special dishes, which reflect the local food culture. These foods are not only praised by the locals, but also make many foreign tourists drool. Let's take a look at my parents' special foods!
1. Potted pork
If you go to a friend's house in Northeast China to play or be a guest, the host will warmly entertain you, because the northeast people are famous for their hospitality, and they will pay special attention to satisfying the guests in diet. Potted pork is a home-cooked dish for entertaining guests, which is divided into sour and sweet dishes and salty dishes. The sweet and sour pot pork is mainly liked by children and ladies, and salty pot pork can be used as a kind of snacks and is welcomed by men.
2. Pig-killing dish
Pot-stewed pork is the specialty of many restaurants in Northeast China. When it comes to the specialties in Northeast China, pig-killing dish can better reflect the dietary taste of Northeast China. There are many ingredients in pig-killing dish, including sauerkraut, blood sausage, pork and pork belly, etc. It is also called braised dish, which is a good partner with Northeast rice, and it is also suitable as a kind of appetizer.
3. Sauerkraut stuffing jiaozi
When sauerkraut is mentioned, many southern friends will feel strange, but when Chinese cabbage is mentioned, I believe that both southern friends and northeastern people will feel familiar. Sauerkraut is pickled with Chinese cabbage, and many families in Northeast China will prepare a vat. Pickled sauerkraut in vat, jiaozi with pickled sauerkraut stuffing has the characteristics of unique flavor, fresh flavor and large stuffing, and is a delicious food for northeast people to entertain their friends.
There are rich and varied specialties in my hometown, including fried three kinds of food, white meat with garlic paste and barbecue. When I came to the northeast, I had to roll them, and they can be seen everywhere in the northeast barbecue shops, including roast pork skewers, mutton skewers, roast pork kidneys and lamb kidneys. These are all delicious.
