evolution

john adams, the second president of the United States, and john quincy adams, the sixth president, were born here, so Quincy is also called "TheCityofPresidents".

Before that, the so-called Squantum near the mouth of the East Neponset River in the mountains was the seat of the ruling party, Chief Massachusett, or the leader of the United States, Chickatawbut.

The so-called Moswetuset Hill visited Miles standish, commander of Plymouth Colony, and Squanto, a local guide. In 1621, four years later, a party leader, Captain wollaston, was founded, and the river was near the south bank of Quincy Bay, east of the low mountain. Settlers have found areas suitable for farming, such as Chickatawbut and his team, Passonagessit ("small neck land"), which has cleared most of the trees.

This settlement was named Mountain wollaston as the honorary leader, who left the area bound for Virginia soon after 1625. The name of Captain wollaston was still retained near wollaston in Quincy.
