I went there on March 3rd and posted our itinerary for your reference.
:) Let’s go to Gulangyu Island first. On the first day, we will walk around, look at the old houses, feel the customs and taste the snacks.
On the second day, we mainly visit the scenic spots on Gulangyu Island. You can buy a combined ticket on Taobao for 66 yuan.
After two days, you can go back to Xiamen city and eat snacks near the ferry in the evening. I recommend the seafood at 141 Seafood Stall.
On the third morning, I slept until I woke up naturally, and then went to Jiali Seafood Restaurant for a buffet afternoon tea. 39+3 is very cost-effective. Then I went to Riyuegu Hot Spring, which was very comfortable and allowed me to relax from the fatigue of the previous few days.
On the fourth day, I went to Nanputuo in the morning. The incense was very popular. If you like, you can climb the mountain behind and see the panoramic view of Xiamen.
Next, go to Xiamen University. As for how to enter, there are many ways. Just search online.
Just outside the Baicheng gate of Xiamen University is the beautiful Baicheng Beach. You can rent a bicycle and ride all the way, taking photos, it's very romantic.
If it’s 5 days, I recommend you go to Tulou or Jimei.
The accommodation in Gulangyu Island is very good, cheap and good.
We booked the 1930 Coffee Hotel in advance. A standard room costs 190 a night. Although it is on Longtou Road, the food street, it is quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The little bird woke us up in the morning, which felt great!
Shushu’s suggestions: 1. If you want to save money, remember to arrange your itinerary in advance and pay for your tickets in advance.
(The air tickets we went to were at the special price of 99 yuan in Spring and Autumn, and the city accommodation was booked with Hanting’s gold card, which offers discounts and other benefits.) 2. The box must be strong enough, which is a must for any trip.
3. The bus fare in Xiamen is basically 1 yuan. It will be more convenient to prepare some in advance, preferably banknotes, because coins are heavy... 4. The road on Gulangyu Island is difficult to find. I think I have a good sense of direction, but I am also a little dizzy.
In Gulangyu, be sure not to follow road signs and road names to find places. The most useful thing is to look at hand-drawn maps. The most useful thing is to take the trouble to ask people. The local people will be very enthusiastic to help you show the way.
5. The ferry to Gulangyu Island is free, the return trip is 8 yuan, and it is free after 22:00.
6. It is recommended to book the hotel in Gulangyu Island in advance and ask if there are bath towels and other toiletries.
7. Moving forward on Gulangyu Island depends entirely on your feet.
It is recommended to dress casually and comfortably, and a good pair of shoes is necessary.
8. There are so many delicious foods in Xiamen. If two people go there, ordering one each time is enough so that they can try more things.
Otherwise, the stomach will definitely not be full, and you will be full just by eating whatever you want.
9. It is recommended to choose accommodation in downtown Xiamen in busy places such as the ferry, Xiamen University, Zhongshan Park, and train stations, because these places have many bus lines and are very convenient to travel.
10. There are many ways to enter Xiamen University. You can use the Internet to do your homework in advance, or you can find classmates from Xiamen University, or you can pay local scalpers to lead the way.
Who can tell me!
