parameters of sinosat-3, downlink frequency: 3845MHz, polarization mode: horizontal (h), symbol rate: 17778, FEC: 3/4.
Now the Asia-3 satellite in the sky has been replaced.
sinosat-3 is a special radio and television satellite purchased by sinosat. It is mainly developed by China Academy of Space Technology, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It is the 1th satellite based on the mature "Dongfanghong-3" satellite platform in China. It mainly provides services for communication, broadcasting and data transmission, with an on-orbit life of 8 years. Sino-SINO-3 communication satellite and Sino-SINO-2 communication satellite are both broadcast communication satellites, but they are different in nature: Sino-SINO-2 communication satellite is a direct broadcast satellite and Sino-SINO-3 communication satellite is a relay satellite. Direct broadcast satellites transmit signals directly to end users, and receivers can receive TV or radio programs from satellites only by using small satellite receiving antennas. The relay satellite is responsible for relaying signals and broadcasting TV for cable TV stations, and users receive programs from cable TV stations.
On March 21st, 1999, the third satellite of AsiaSat-Asia3S satellite was successfully launched and put into operation on May 8th, replacing AsiaSat-1 in an orbital position of 15.5 degrees. Asian 3S satellite is a high-power HS61HP satellite manufactured by Hughes Company (now Boeing Satellite System Company) of the United States, with an on-orbit operation life of 16 years. Satellites have been replaced this year. It is loaded with 28 C-band transponders with 36 MHz bandwidth and 16 Ku-band transponders with 54 MHz bandwidth.
