4. Pilu Temple Nanjing Pilu Temple is located at No. 4 Hanfu Street, Nanjing City. It was built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566). Because the temple worshiped Vairocana Buddha, it was originally named Pilu Temple.

The original small nunnery was destroyed by war during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty. Later, monk Lianghong created a Buddhist temple.
