Zongzi
Zongzi is an essential traditional delicacy during the Dragon Boat Festival. Let’s learn how to make rice dumplings.
Ingredients:
Glutinous rice, pork, salted egg yolk, scallops, mushrooms, green onions, ginger, allspice, salt, soy sauce, peanut oil, rice dumpling leaves
Steps :
1. Soak the glutinous rice in water for at least 4 hours.
2. Cut the pork into small pieces, add onion, ginger, five-spice powder, salt and soy sauce and marinate for 30 minutes.
3. Cut the salted egg yolk, scallops and shiitake mushrooms into small pieces and set aside.
4. Rinse the rice dumpling leaves with water, soak until soft and set aside.
5. Fold the soaked rice dumpling leaves into a funnel shape and add a small portion of soaked glutinous rice.

8. Wrap the rice dumpling leaves and tie them with thin rope.
9. Put all the rice dumplings into a large pot, add enough water and cook for 2-3 hours.

Calamus cake
Calamus cake is a traditional Dragon Boat Festival dessert, and its preparation method is also very simple.
Materials:
Glutinous rice flour, sugar, calamus powder, water
Steps:
1. Combine glutinous rice flour, sugar and calamus Mix the powder together.
2. Add appropriate amount of water and stir evenly to form a paste.
3. Pour the paste into the steamer and steam over medium heat for 15-20 minutes.

Dragon Boat Rice

Glutinous rice, pork, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, shrimps, onions, ginger, garlic, salt, soy sauce, peanut oil
Steps:
1. Soak the glutinous rice in water for at least 4 hours.

3. Add peanut oil to the pot, heat it and add onion, ginger and garlic until fragrant.
