The fun-themed restroom is not as evil as imagined

Toilet-themed restaurants are restaurants designed with the theme of toilet culture. The restaurant uses containers shaped like urinals to serve food, and even serves ice cream shaped like poop.

Diners sit on the toilet bowl and chew the delicacies served in the container with relish.

China's first toilet-themed restaurant appeared in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan Province. In 2009, the first such restaurant appeared near Di'anmen in Beijing.

For people, some people support toilet-themed restaurants and think they are fun, exciting and alternative; while others denounce them as "disgusting and boring".

The owner of the restaurant admitted that because the Yue Fang IDMALL mall where he is located currently does not have much foot traffic, the store's business is relatively light, but there are still people who come "enjoyed", mainly young people and children.

Do you dare to eat in a "restroom"? The origin of the restroom restaurant: We are a group of "shit" servants who work hard for our ideals. This alternative creative idea was inspired by one day while squatting in the toilet and watching Japanese comic robot dolls.

At first, we mainly focused on ice cream. We used an ice cream machine and our creative ideas to put a poop-like chocolate ice cream on the squat toilet. The funny and cute look was deeply loved by everyone.

With the active planning of all partners, we finally took the first step of our dream in May 1993. In 2004, the most sensational new theme restaurant "MARTON Theme Restaurant" in Taiwan was born.

The whole store adopts a unique and humorous design that is upside down and misplaced. At first, many people stood at the door with doubtful and stunned faces. After stopping for a long time to take a closer look, they were all full of cheerful smiles.

In the past few years, our ice cream products have been combined with our unique creativity and ingenuity, and we have worked hard to develop and improve them. Today, we have become a province-wide complex theme restaurant. Since its opening, each store has been highly praised by many friends who love to taste "fresh" food.

Approval and love.

Gaoshan ethnic food culture.

In the early days, the Gaoshan people in Taiwan mostly ate millet and sweet potatoes as their staple food, and they ate with their hands.

Later, with the increase of immigrants from the mainland, they gradually absorbed the Han nationality's eating style and switched to chopsticks, and rice gradually became the staple food.

However, many Gaoshan tribes still retain many traditional characteristics. For example, the Yamei tribe of Lanyu has restrictions on eating fish between men and women.

The Gaoshan people like to drink wine, and the wine they brew from millet also shows a unique drinking culture.

The history of the toilet: After years of continuous experience and growth, the toilet theme restaurant officially entered the international market in 2007. Currently, Hong Kong and Malaysia have successfully authorized it, and negotiations are also ongoing in the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Philippines.

Among them, the establishment of the Hong Kong Mong Kok store has attracted enthusiastic reports from the media in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The entire chain system has 14 branches in Taiwan and Hong Kong. The group's annual turnover is nearly NT$200 million. It is currently growing steadily and will officially launch a second theme brand in September 2008.

In 2008, "Toilet Theme Restaurant" began to focus on the development of the mainland. So far, it has nearly 20 branches, covering Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and 7 provinces and 4 municipalities.

In the next step, we will develop the global and mainland Chinese markets with more complete planning, so that toilet-themed restaurants can bring consumers a different dining experience.
