Duck stewed with white radish is a very delicious food, especially in winter, it is often eaten, and its nutritional value is relatively high, but how can we combine the two to make a more delicious dish? As for the taste, you can refer to the method below.
1. Method/Steps
1. Wash the radish and set aside.
2. Wash the fresh duck and set aside.
Bring a pot of water to a boil and put the duck meat into the boiling water. This step is mainly to boil the blood out of the duck meat. After boiling water, remove the duck meat and serve it on a plate.
3. Add a little oil and bake until 70% hot. (It’s enough to feel hot when you put your hands on the oil.) Pour in the duck meat and stir-fry until the duck meat changes color. Remove from pot and serve.
4. Heat a little oil; add dried red pepper, star anise, cinnamon, ginger, and garlic cloves to the pan and stir-fry until fragrant (about one minute). Add duck meat and radish to the pan, stir-fry, and add appropriate amount of salt and light soy sauce. (This step is very important. Add the salt first and wait for the taste to take in). Stir-fry for about five minutes, then pour in water until the water covers the duck meat and radish. Cover the pot, bring to a boil over high heat, then 5. Simmer over low heat. During this period, you must always pay attention to the amount of water and stir-fry occasionally. Cook until the radish is tender and ready to serve.
2. Precautions
Be sure to add salt after adding duck meat and radish. Otherwise, add water and then salt, and the radish will lose its flavor.
