how to preserve cowpeas? These three methods should be mastered

Cowpea is commonly known as cowpea in daily life. Cowpea is a common vegetable on people's table in summer, but it is difficult to preserve fresh cowpea because of the hot weather in summer. So, how should we preserve the fresh cowpea that we can't eat at ordinary times?

Three ways to preserve cowpea:

1. Sprinkling water for preservation:

Sprinkling water is suitable for short-term preservation of cowpea. When preparing for preservation, you can first put cowpea into a plastic bag with holes, then cut a hole in the plastic bag with scissors and put it in a cool place. Sprinkle a little water on it by hand every day, or use a wet cloth or wet clean toilet paper. Cowpea preserved by this method is suitable for eating in about two days, and it can be kept fresh for 2 ~ 3 days at room temperature.

2. Sealed fresh-keeping method:

We need to put the bought cowpea which is not eaten, damaged and bug-free into a fresh-keeping bag, and pay attention to the fact that the surface of the cowpea packed in the fresh-keeping bag cannot contain moisture, otherwise it will easily go bad. Then tie the bag tightly and put it in the freezer. This storage method can be kept for 5 ~ 7 days, but it will gradually appear brown spots after being kept for a long time. However, this is not good-looking, but it does not affect it very much if it is eaten occasionally. If you are afraid that it will be bad for your health, you can break off the parts with serious spots and throw them away.

This method is a common food preservation method, which is often used in life.

3. blanching and freezing method:

the above two methods are commonly used in daily life and are relatively short-term preservation methods, so if you want fresh cowpeas to be preserved for a long time, you can use this blanching and freezing method, which can be preserved for a month and still be green and tender, and the original flavor will not be destroyed.

first, we should boil a pot of water and put some salt in it. Wash cowpea while boiling water. When the water in the pot boils, put cowpea into boiling water to keep the fire. Take cowpea out immediately after boiling again, and cool it with cold water. Then, after cowpea is completely cooled, take out the moisture on the dried surface, put it into a fresh-keeping bag, squeeze out air as much as possible to tie the bag mouth tightly, and put them in the freezer of the refrigerator for storage. But remember to dry the water on the surface, so that the frozen cowpea will not stick together and it is more convenient to take it.

The above are three common methods for keeping cowpea fresh. These methods are still very good, and everyone can try them.
