Zongyang County, formerly known as Zongzi Country, belongs to Tongling City, Anhui Province. It is located in the south-central part of Anhui Province, on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and at the southeast foot of Dabie Mountain. Its geographical coordinates are between 30 38 ′ ~ 365 438+0 05 ′ north latitude and 65 438+06 5438+07 04 ′ ~ 65 438+east longitude.

Zongyang county governs 15 towns and 1 townships. In the fifth year of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty (BC 106), Emperor Liu Che made a southern tour of Zongyang, shot jiaozi in the river and wrote Song of Zongyang in the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
