linquan was called Shendi in ancient times. At the beginning of the Western Zhou Dynasty, Zhou Wuwang's son, Zhou Chengwang, established Shen Zi-guo. In 516 BC, Shen was destroyed by Cai Guo, and later the State of Chu destroyed Cai Guo. This place belongs to Chu and is the Pingyu city of Chu. In the Western Han Dynasty, our county was still Pingyu County, and we want to set up Xiyang County in this town. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was still Pingyu County, and Xiyang County was changed to Houguo, and Yinqing was named Houhou. It belongs to Runan County. In 716, shenqiu county was re-established. It belongs to Yingzhou. Song Chaojin, Shenqiu County belongs to Shunchang Prefecture. In the Yuan Dynasty, Shenqiu County belonged to Yingzhou Province. Jiangzhai, Yucheng and Wadian belong to Henan Province. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, the people in Shenqiu fled to the north, and the city was deserted. In the early Ming Dynasty, shenqiu county was abandoned and reduced to Shenqiu Town, belonging to Yingzhou, Fengyang Prefecture. In the west, Jiangzhai and Wadian belong to Runing House. In 1497, shenqiu county was rebuilt in Frankincense Terrace (now the old city of shenqiu county), 31 miles northwest of Linquan County. Shortly after the establishment of the Qing Dynasty, Shenqiu Town belonged to jiangnan province (including present-day Jiangsu and Anhui provinces), and Anhui Province was formally established in 1667. Shenqiu Town belongs to Fuyang County, Anhui Province. Linquan County was formally established in 1935, and it was named after the county seat near Linquan River. Resident in Shenqiuji. Linquan was liberated in October, 1947. Due to the needs of the revolutionary situation, Linquan City, Linquan County, Quanyang County and Quannan County were successively established in Linquan. In February of 1949, it was also named Linquan County.
