In the Western Han Dynasty, our county was still Pingyu County, and we want to set up Xiyang County in this town. In the early Ming Dynasty, shenqiu county was abandoned and reduced to Shenqiu Town, belonging to Yingzhou, Fengyang Prefecture. In the west, Jiangzhai and Wadian belong to Runing House. In 1497, shenqiu county was rebuilt in Frankincense Terrace (now the old city of shenqiu county), 31 miles northwest of Linquan County. Shortly after the establishment of the Qing Dynasty, Shenqiu Town belonged to jiangnan province (including present-day Jiangsu and Anhui provinces), and Anhui Province was formally established in 1667. Shenqiu Town belongs to Fuyang County, Anhui Province. Linquan County was formally established in 1935, and it was named after the county seat near Linquan River. Resident in Shenqiuji. Linquan was liberated in October, 1947. Due to the needs of the revolutionary situation, Linquan City, Linquan County, Quanyang County and Quannan County were successively established in Linquan. In February of 1949, it was also named Linquan County.
