Reminiscing about the trip to Jianshui

After six years, I once again set foot in Jianshui.

I thought I would have some familiarity with this city, but after more than 5 hours of bumpy driving, I found out when I arrived at Jianshui Station that I didn’t feel familiar at all.

I have to complain about the driver who drove that day, he was really slow!

When I arrived at a certain water refilling point, I asked the master: How long will it take to reach Jianshui? The master said: More than an hour! I was shocked: What? Didn’t it take more than 3 hours to arrive? Why so slow! As soon as I said this, everyone in the car laughed and told me that it would take at least 4 hours. Then they started complaining about the driver's driving skills and the damn hot weather!

The last time I came to Jianshui was also May Day. At that time, I already had an inexplicable fondness for this strange city. No need to guess, just announce the answer. The boy I once liked studied and lived in this city.

So, many years later, I went to the city where he lived, walked the places he might have walked, ate the food he might have liked, and went to the campus where he studied and lived to take pictures. What was I thinking at that time? Forgot! Don’t mention the past, there are so many ups and downs in the world...

Alas, I accidentally exposed my girlish feelings back then!

This time, I came purely for the delicious food in Nizi’s mouth.

The last time Nizi and I met was in July 2015. Before I went to Thailand for a trip, I had a meal with her and Single Cell, and then returned to our separate lives.

It is also a very clever thing to meet and travel together this time. To be honest, the moment we met in the hotel, there was no awkwardness at all about not seeing each other for five years. We immediately started complaining about the driver’s driving skills and chatting about what we wanted to eat. Nizi is still the same fast-talking, cheerful and cute Nizi.

It was already after five o'clock. After tidying up, we went out to look for food. We passed by a cold rice noodle shop, which became our first meal in Jianshui. Although it is a small shop, as Nizi said, the taste is not too bad. Cold rice noodles, papaya water, grilled skewers, stinky tofu, etc. We were really hungry, so we quickly cleared out the food.

Nizi’s familiarity with Jianshui saves me the time of making up my own guide every time I travel, so I can follow her with confidence. There are very few itineraries like this, and it feels pretty good.

After eating and drinking, we walked towards the ancient city while chatting about our lives in the past few years, about her parents’ urging to get married, about other people’s persuasion to get married, and about her few embarrassing blind dates. . I must emphasize here that it’s her, and I’m still at the stage where I’m very curious when hearing about other people’s blind dates, and very repelled by my own blind dates. Of course, next time Nizi goes on a blind date, if she is willing to take me to watch, that’s fine too. I just don’t know if she will go again?

There are cases of successful blind dates around Nizi, but as she said, it takes many blind dates to meet the right person. Have you joined this game of getting to know people? Welcome to leave a message and chat.

For those of us who are over 30 and still unmarried, we have a very obvious label: leftover women. A topic that comes up in my ears from time to time: urging marriage. Being single is not a sin, being older, female, and unmarried is a sin!

Someone said: Have you ever been deeply hurt and don’t dare to fall in love again?

Someone said: Are you still thinking about XXX?

Someone said: Are you sick? If there is, it must be treated.

Some people say: Don’t set your sights too high, just find someone to marry!

Some people say: At worst, if it’s not suitable for you after marriage, just divorce. If you have a child, you’ll have everything!

Some people say...

We have heard it with our own ears, heard it from others, and we have no idea about it at all. There must be all kinds of strange speculations and remarks!

Every time I hear such a question, I feel dumbfounded. At first I try my best to explain or refute it, but then I don’t want to say anything and just listen to it.

What about us? We believe in love. We hope that the people we marry will at least have similar interests. We believe that we will meet people who are kind to us. We hope that we can give our children a good life. We also watch idol dramas, but we don’t think we will live like idol dramas. We are not as lonely and cold as you think. We live alone, which is fine. We...

You, who are older and unmarried, must understand, right?

When I walked to the commercial street next to Jianshui Ancient City, I saw many people wearing Hanfu. I said: I also have similar clothes, or maybe they are improved versions of everyday clothes, but I haven’t had the chance to wear them, so they are all on the bottom of my closet. Nizi said: You can feel free to wear it boldly when you come here, it’s normal. Well, some clothes do need to be worn on the right occasion to make them look less obtrusive. We often say not to pay too much attention to other people’s looks, but there is no way to completely escape this circle.

Looking at the boys and girls passing by us, wearing all kinds of Hanfu, I vaguely felt that I was one of them, whether it was cosplaying or liking Hanfu culture, it didn’t matter. But when I meet a group of people who share the same frequency, they play and have fun without any scruples. This era has given everyone greater tolerance!

The moment I stepped into the ancient city of Jianshui, the sense of familiarity returned. No matter how the city develops, the changes here are still a little slow, or in other words, its cultural heritage is deliberately preserved.

The familiar Zhujia Garden, the familiar smell of steam pot chicken, the familiar stone road...

After that, we arrived at Zitao Street, located on the bank of Guangci Lake. The main street is nearly 400 meters long and is named after Zitao Street. A pedestrian street focusing on characteristics, Jianshui food, leisure and entertainment. It has the lighting effects and beautiful night views that are common on internet celebrity streets, but it also responds to the purple pottery culture that has carried thousands of years, giving it a very unique charm! As I walked and looked around, I saw all kinds of interesting purple pottery ornaments, such as pots, cups, basins, bowls, plates... It was a dizzying sight.

In addition to tourists, local residents also often come for walks nearby and take their children to play various children's entertainment projects in the square.

Here, we met our junior high school classmate Hui and her children, and sat and chatted for a while. Each of us has been walking in our own life track for many years. Occasionally, we hear something about the other person from other people's mouths. How we are doing cannot be explained in just a few words.

After we said goodbye to Hui, we took some more photos, randomly selected a stall and ordered skewers. It has to be said that although the epidemic has been controlled, everyone's mood for traveling cannot be controlled. The noisy voices, the scent of cumin, and the delicious food that keeps coming into your mouth, the night ends here, just right.

The next day, we slept until we woke up naturally. After breakfast, we went to Huanglong Temple. A child was added to the party, Nizi’s eight-year-old nephew, which also added another dimension to our itinerary. pleasure.

The Huanglong Temple located in the mountains is not big, and the incense is not very prosperous, but it is very quiet and clean. After we knelt down and worshiped one by one, we sat under the big tree outside the temple to rest, and began to enter the 8th year. Showtime for kids.

From eating breakfast and taking the little yellow car to now, except when I am kneeling down and praying, I am the quietest at all other times, which has refreshed my understanding of 8-year-old children. Today's children have a wide range of contacts and are really eloquent. They have all kinds of chicken games, Tik Tok songs, and flirting skills, which made us both laugh! In this era, if you are not careful, you can easily be killed by a child!

After leaving Huanglong Temple, we went to a nearby busy restaurant to wait for the highlight of the trip: grilled fish. Nizi said that only local people know that the grilled fish here is delicious. For grilled fish to be delicious, pickling is very particular. After all, it’s all fish, so it all depends on the ingredients. This grilled fish is charred on the outside and tender on the inside, full of aroma. It looks spicy, but it is not, and it is in line with the public's taste.

Returning to the city in the afternoon, we, an unmarried young woman over 30 years old, led by an 8-year-old child, walked through the streets and alleys, and finally arrived at our destination, the Jianshui Small Train Scenic Spot. Along the way, we kept questioning his sense of direction, and he said: Can't you just trust me? Please believe me! We both said we believe it, we believe you. After all, you still have to encourage your children when it’s time to encourage them. But I thought to myself, if I really can’t find it, I’ll take a taxi! Unexpectedly, ten minutes later, we arrived! Here, I must give the children a big thumbs up!

This place is really suitable for checking in and taking pictures. Even if the sun is strong, it does not stop us from wanting to take pictures. After shopping enough, I sat down at the cold drink shop and drank a glass of juice, watching other passers-by and feeling comfortable.

After sending the children home, we wandered around and chatted near Chaoyang Building, listening to Nizi talk vividly about the strange people she met at work. Nizi is a quick talker but good at describing things. From her story, I saw the weird behavior of the weird boss, as if I followed her back to the past. I can’t reveal the specific details. After all, the weird boss has his social status. If I write other stories in the future, maybe there will be a prototype for him!

While we were chatting, the lights suddenly went out, and the whole square fell into a brief darkness. Then we saw several beams of lights coming from the direction of Chaoyang Tower. The lights kept changing to the song "Torch Festival" of the Yi people. , seems weak and strong, the colors rotate, flying in the air with the music. A picture began to appear on the opposite city wall, and we knew that the light show was coming.

This is the first time I have seen a light show showing the development history of Jianshui. It is quite interesting to see the perfect combination of history and modernity. I don’t know if the hundreds of people standing with us in the square or on both sides of the road have the same emotion as me. I saw everyone picking up their mobile phones and refusing to let go of any shot.

This is a light show I am willing to watch a second time.

Why travel? Either alone or with someone else? Why travel to different cities non-stop just for a delicious meal or a view? Anyone who is truly on the road will understand.

I think girls should go out more often, appreciate the beautiful world, broaden their horizons, and relax their minds.

During the journey, meet, perceive, experience, and write your own life story!

I forgot where I saw a sentence. It probably means: We always feel that life is short, but we also like to say that the future is long! No matter it’s 2, 3, 4, or 5, while you can still walk, while you still have passion, while you still have a wandering heart, go travel! Whether alone or with someone, go where you want to go!

Since it’s a trip to Jianshui, I’ll leave the rest of my trip to Kunming to the next article! As for this next article, whether to write about it or not is another matter!
