[ Evolution] In 1958, Qugou commune was established, in 1984, it was changed to a township, and in 1995, it was established as a town. In 1997, it covered an area of 37.7 square kilometers and a population of 56,, and governed Qugou, Lighthouse, Beiqugou, Xiqugou, Sipanmo, Zhangdeng, Anche Village, Guoche Village, Dongche Village, Eastern Xia Han, Xixia Han, Wuwang, Zhaizi, Chenjiajing, Nanguxian, Beiguxian, Xigaoping and Dongdong. On December 28th, 22, the State Council approved (Guo Han [22] No.123) that Xigaoping Village in Qugou Town was placed under the jurisdiction of Longan District, Anyang City.
