I was lucky enough to go there!
I often eat Sichuan and Chongqing cuisine, but I have no resistance to Northwest cuisine. Food really does not distinguish between regions and people. I recommend a few dishes that local friends strongly recommended that we must eat when I traveled to the Northwest.
1. Hand-caught mutton.
This is a traditional food loved by the Mongolian, Tibetan, Hui, Kazakh, Uyghur and other ethnic groups living in northwest my country. There are three ways to eat it: hot, cold, or fried.
Last time we ate it hot, and there was no unpleasant smell. You had to grab it with your hands, tear it off, or cut it with a knife. It was a unique way to eat it for the first time!
The meat is fat but not greasy, oily and crispy, tender, smooth and delicious. If you can, you can eat delicious mutton every day!
However, there are many foods that are incompatible with mutton. You must pay attention when eating them, or use your mobile phone to check them online.
This dish is nutritious and very delicious.
2. Sweet fermented grains.
It is one of the special snacks in northwest China. This dish is made of oats or highland barley.
Sweet fermented glutinous rice can be seen in Lanzhou, Qinghai and other places. It tastes a little like fermented glutinous rice. It is very popular among local people.
There is also a particularly famous specialty milk tea in Lanzhou: Tianbaozi milk tea, a very big cup, or can be described as a bucket, sweet and ice-cold. When I was in Lanzhou at that time, I would drink a cup of it every day. You can’t miss it for its authentic delicacies!
3. Lanzhou Ramen.
Is there anyone who doesn’t know Lanzhou Ramen Bar, a very famous and authentic delicacy?
One of the "Top Ten Noodles in China", it is a snack in Lanzhou, Gansu Province.
It has won praise from customers at home and around the world for its unique flavor of "the soup is clear, the meat is fragrant, and the noodles are fine" and "one clear, two white, three red, four green and five yellow".
There are Lanzhou Ramen restaurants everywhere, so you should try it when you go to the northwest!
I feel that in addition to Lanzhou Ramen, other fried noodles are also delicious. You can try a few more.
