In the early spring of the Year of the Horse, on a sunny morning in February, I accompanied a few writers and friends from far away, and drove from Kaili, the capital of beautiful southeastern Guizhou, along the broad Jinshan Avenue and the scenic Langxi Highway, to the largest "Xijiang Miao Village" in the world.
