Where is Tiantai Guoqing Temple?

Tiantai Guoqing Temple is located on Jiji Road, Guoqing Temple Village, Tiantai County, Taizhou City.

Tiantai Guoqing Temple was built in the 18th year of Emperor Kaihuang's reign in the Sui Dynasty (598). It was first named Tiantai Temple. Later, it was renamed Guoqing Temple after "if the temple is completed, the country will be clear".

The temple covers an area of ??73,000 square meters.

Guoqing Temple in Tiantai, Zhejiang, Lingyan Temple in Jinan, Qixia Temple in Nanjing, and Yuquan Temple in Dangyang are also known as the Four Unique Temples in China.

The architecture of Guoqing Temple is majestic and solemn, forming four architectural axes.

The central axis is the Shanmen Maitreya Hall (the Gate Shrine), the Bell and Drum Tower, the Yuhua Hall (the Hall of the Four Heavenly Kings) and the Main Hall.

The west axis is Anyang Hall, Sansheng Hall, Luohan Hall (Cultural Relics Room), and Miaofa Hall (the upper floor is the Sutra Pavilion).

The east axis is Juxian Hall (monk dining room), Abbot Tower and Ying Tower Tower.

The second east axis is Li Ke Hall, Da Che Hall and Xiu Zhuxuan.

The architecture of each hall and building in the temple is very exquisite and is a treasure of ancient architecture.

Recommended attractions near Tiantai Guoqing Temple: 1. Tiantai Mountain Waterfall, known as "the tallest waterfall in China", is a rare water-friendly cascade waterfall group in my country. Visitors can get close to the waterfall in all directions and fully experience the true nature. With the "enthusiastic spray" of waterfall-flavored large spray, you can also cross the waterfall four times and experience the fun of appreciating the waterfall from different perspectives.

2. Shiliang Waterfall The Shiliang Waterfall is a natural stone bridge formed of granite. It is unique enough in itself. There is also a waterfall pouring down through the bridge hole, which can be described as a stroke of nature.

3. Chicheng Mountain Chicheng Mountain, also known as Shaoshan, is an isolated mountain remnant of sedimentary rock erosion. It is the only Danxia landform landscape in the Tiantai Mountains and is known as the "South Gate of Taiyue".

When the sun rises in the east or the sunset shines in the evening, the sky is full of flying clouds and the red mountains complement each other. The red Zhongliang Concubine Pagoda is unique and spectacular.

In March and April, redbud flowers bloom all over the Chicheng Mountain, making it as beautiful and dreamy as the rosy clouds in Chicheng.

Climbing up the stairs along Baibu Mountain, accompanied by redbud flowers all the way, is also a rare experience in a lifetime.
