Beijing is our imperial capital with a very long history and is also an important birthplace of Yan culture.
It integrates the cultural thoughts of ethnic minorities from the Central Plains and the north, and is now the political, economic and cultural center of China.
Here I would like to share with you the best routes and detailed strategies for an eight-day trip to Beijing.
This is my family’s self-guided trip to Beijing during the winter vacation of 2017.
I developed a strategy with the help of Imperial students.
I had a great time on vacation.
Recently some children's shoes are going to Beijing, so I reorganized the strategy and posted it.
Ahem, this guide is for entertainment reference only.
If you want to travel to the imperial capital "Beijing", you need to consult Du Niang Google and Kyoto residents.
1. The travel plan has a general impression of the distribution of scenic spots in Beijing.
Figure 1 Distribution of scenic spots in Beijing and its suburbs.
Figure 2 Distribution map of Beijing attractions Figure 3 Recommended accommodation and resettlement areas As can be seen from the map distribution, except for the Ming Tombs and the Great Wall, the main attractions in Beijing are all in the suburbs, and the rest are distributed in the urban area.
Beijing has a well-developed subway network. All scenic spots in the city are connected by subway, which is very convenient. You only need to check in a hotel as a family, travel during the day and return at night.
Please refer to Figure 3 for hotel location.
It is recommended to choose a hotel outside the Third Ring Road, near the Third Ring Road, or near a subway station, so that the hotel is cheap and travel is convenient.
Our family stayed at the Hanting Hotel (Beijing Beiyuan Branch) during the winter vacation, which is the red "1" in the picture below.
It is near Olympic Forest Park, next to Line 5.
It's a 5-minute walk to Lishuiqiao South Station and there are restaurants nearby.
I recommend it to you.
The following is our family’s initial trip to Beijing, which can be used as a reference for family travel.
2017.1.28 New Year's Day flight at 7:30 On January 29, 2017, I arrived at Beijing Capital Airport at 10:30 on the second day of the lunar month and checked into the hotel.
Relax or take a stroll around the hotel.
Strategy: You can buy "Beijing Tong" at the subway station, which is similar to Chang'an Antong.
After arriving at the hotel that day, be sure to go to a nearby supermarket to buy mineral water and boil it.
The water quality in Beijing is relatively hard. If you boil the tap water, you will easily have diarrhea if you are not used to the water quality.
After resting for a while, because I still had some energy, I went to the nearby shopping malls and parks for a walk.
The third day of January 30, 2017 [Tiananmen Square] Note: To watch the flag-raising ceremony, you must get up early, which is the same as the sunrise time that day.
Guide to the Monument to the People’s Heroes at Chairman Mao Memorial Hall: Be sure to check the time of the flag-raising ceremony that day, because it changes every day based on the sunrise time.
You have to line up at least 2 hours in advance to squeeze into Tiananmen Square, stand in the front row, eat melon, and laugh at the flag-raising soldiers.
Don't follow the team from the side, run towards the middle.
Check the opening hours of Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. It was closed when we went there.
On the fourth day of January 31, 2017 [Zhongguancun] Jinyuan International Shopping Center (the largest shopping mall in Asia) [Party] I had lunch with my classmates near Zhongguancun at noon.
[Music] Listen to a concert at the National Center for the Performing Arts in the evening.
(New Year’s Eve concert, then 180 yuan/person) Strategy: The concert at the National Center for the Performing Arts is great, very tasteful, and very sensational.
It is recommended that families with children's shoes can experience the charm of the symphony orchestra and the charm of the modern music festival.
You can book tickets on the official website.
February 1, 2017 Day 5 Old Summer Palace Morning Afternoon Old Summer Palace is a huge attraction and it’s best to spend half a day there.
The scenic spots in the park mainly include cultural landscapes in the east and natural scenery in the west.
It is recommended to enter the scenic spot from the south gate (get off at Yuanmingyuan subway station), so that you can first visit the most important scenic spots such as the Chinese Zodiac and the ruins of Western-style buildings, then visit many natural landscapes along the Fu coast to the west, and finally start from the algae garden in the southwest corner
leave.
Must-see: There are temple fairs to enjoy during the Spring Festival at the Temple of Earth in Yuyuantan, and Royal Skating is the most popular temple fair in Beijing.
The time is from the first day to the sixth day of the New Year (electronic coupon 60 yuan/person), February 2, 2017, the sixth day and the seventh day of the Forbidden City are all the same in the morning.
(60 yuan/person) [Chairman Mao Memorial Hall] [Qianmen Street] There is a food street on Qianmen Street. There are a lot of food, but the things in the store are very expensive. Be careful of the deceptive tricks in the store; you can go
Try it at Beijing Quanjude Beijing Roast Duck Main Store (origin store).
[Dashilan] Wangfujing Guide: Tickets for the Forbidden City must be booked two days in advance, which will limit the daily flow of people, so be early.
There is no need to pick up a ticket when you arrive at the Forbidden City.
If it is a second-generation ID card, you only need to swipe the ID card to enter the park.
The Forbidden City is quite big and you can take your time walking around.
Queue up for Jude Roast Duck at 4pm. The price in the store is quite high and there is also a service charge.
