Uganda is a multi-ethnic country.

Divided by language, there are four major ethnic groups: Bantu, Nile, Nile-Semitic and Sudanese.

Each ethnic group consists of several ethnic groups.

The Bantu ethnic group accounts for more than 2/3 of the total population, including 20 ethnic groups including the Baganda (accounting for 18% of the total population), Baniankole (accounting for 16% of the total population), Bakiga and Basoga.

.

The Nile ethnic group includes five ethnic groups including Langi and Acholi.

The Nile-Semitic ethnic group includes seven ethnic groups including Iteso and Karamojong.

The Sudanese ethnic group includes four ethnic groups, including Lugbara and Madi.

A Ugandan specialty is banana rice called "Matoki".

"Matoki" is made from a non-sweet banana variety, peeled and mashed into a puree, steamed and mixed with red bean juice, peanut butter, braised chicken nuggets, and curry beef.

People who have eaten "Matoki" generally praise it as "the most delicious meal in the world", so it has become the main course of the Ugandan state banquet.

Uganda’s “national drink” is made from a mixture of fermented bananas and sorghum noodles, which is sweet and mellow.

According to local traditional culture, we know that when a banquet is held, a wine jar is placed on the table with a 1-meter-long straw pipe inserted on the top of the jar, and the guests and hosts suck at each other.

This is the local characteristic culture, and foreign tourists can go there to experience their unique customs.
