1. Five-color rice
Five-color rice is a specialty of the Zhuang people. The Zhuang people in Yunnan call it black rice. It is not only bright in color, but also has a long-lasting taste. 2. Zongzi
The Zhuang people’s Spring Festival lasts three days from the 30th to the first and second day of the first lunar month. During these three days, both the host and the guests must eat zongzi. Because zongzi is a noble food in the Zhuang family. Zongzi symbolizes prosperity and harvest. The Zhuang people are very hospitable, so when guests come, they will serve them with the best food.
The main raw material of zongzi is glutinous rice, but it must have fillings. The filling is made of peeled mung beans, half-fat but not lean pork neck meat and grass fruit powder. It is placed in the heart of the rice dumpling. After being cooked, it tastes very delicious.
3. Fire grass cake
Fire grass cake, also called Qingming grass cake, is a kind of rice and glutinous rice mixed in a certain proportion, with washed Qingming grass and an appropriate amount of sugar. Steam it, put it into a clay pot and beat it repeatedly until it is very sticky, and then make a cake similar to the size of a dry shell cake. When eating, add a little sesame oil in a pan and fry over low heat or bake directly over fire. The outer skin will slowly form a layer of yellow rice cake. Its sweet and delicious taste will make you unable to let go.
4. Cold teal with lime leaves
Cold teal with lime leaves is a traditional dish of the Zhuang people in Wenshan, Yunnan, and belongs to the genus Cuisine. The main ingredient is teal.
