how to apply for staying in a youth hostel in Macau

Introduction:

There are two youth hostels under the Macao Education and Youth Bureau, namely Hac-Sa Youth Hostel and Cheok Van Youth Hostel.

Heisha Youth Hostel:

Address: Heisha New Road (at the bottom of the slope of Heisha Beach)

Hostel facilities: three 16-person rooms, ten 4-person rooms and six double rooms (each room has its own bathroom).

Zhuwan Youth Hostel:

Address: Sishigu Street (at the top of the slope of Zhuwan Beach)

Hostel facilities: two 1-person rooms and two double rooms, kitchen (with two refrigerators, microwave ovens and electric rice bowls), air conditioning, TV, barbecue oven, and public facilities.

application details:

a. fill in the application form (pdf in Chinese and doc in English). There are two application forms, one for hotel rental and the other for youth hostel occupancy list. If there are many people traveling together, you only need to fill in a rental application form and fill in the information of each person on the check-in list. The ID number can be filled in for the ID document number. Note that signatures are required at the bottom of both forms!

B. Copy the International Youth Hostel Card or the International Youth Card as a copy.

C. Fax the above materials to: 853 2896 115, or post them to: 1/F, No.7-9 John IV Avenue, Macau. Pay attention to apply eight working days before check-in (counting from the day you receive the application form).

Fees:

Sunday to Friday: big room 2 yuan, four-person room 3 yuan, two-person room 5 yuan

Saturday, public holidays and the eve of public holidays: big room 3 yuan, four-person room 5 yuan, two-person room 8 yuan

Foreign tourists can pay fees at the Education and Youth Bureau or in hostels where they stay directly, and they need to pay MOP.

there will be a reply the day after application. A reply form (bmp picture format) is attached to the reply. The form needs to be printed out and brought with you.

Office hours are: Monday to Thursday: 9:am-1:pm,2:3pm-5:45pm

iii) foreigners who hold the International Youth Award or the International Youth Hostel Award;

Remarks: 1) The hostel will be lent out in the above order;

2) During July and August, the Bureau has absolute priority for organizing summer activities;

3) Individual hirers in Macao must hold Macao identity cards and be between 15 and 45 years old.

3. Procedures for renting

3.1 Ways to obtain and return the form

The form can be obtained at the place referred to in point 1 of these rules or on the website of this bureau. After completing the rental application form, you can submit it in person, by post or by fax during office hours. (1/F, No.7-9, John IV Avenue, Macau)

3.2 Documents to be Submitted

3.2.1 Completed youth hostel rental application form;

3.2.2 Other supplementary documents:

Local individual renters: a photocopy of the personal ID card of the renter and the check-in list of the youth hostel;

other local organizations: if they apply for borrowing for the first time, they must submit the government gazette with its articles of association and a copy of the certificate issued by the identity certification bureau;

Personal hirer from other places: photocopy of International Youth Hostel or International Youth Hostel.

Note 2 refers to 8 working days before the planned check-in date (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in Australia). If the application is sent by post, it will also be counted from the day when the application form is received by the bureau.

Note 3 is counted from the day when the required documents (see 3.2) are received by the Bureau.

Note 4 is calculated from the day when the hirer receives the approval notice. If the notice is overdue, the relevant lease application will be automatically cancelled. Foreign renters can pay the fee on the day of check-in.

Note 5 refers to the application submitted five working days before the original use date, otherwise it will not be accepted.

5. Fees

5.3 Refund of fees

The fees paid will not be refunded except in the following circumstances:

5.3.1 If it is proved that the facilities cannot be used due to force majeure, For example, in case of typhoon, bad weather or other unpredictable circumstances, the hostel is closed;

5.3.2 public * * departments need to use facilities for emergency or special reasons;

6. Duration of stay

Hostel is only used for short-term stay of passengers, and each passenger can be provided with a maximum stay of 3 days and 2 nights. If passengers want to continue to rent the hostel, they need to apply for renewal, and the bureau will approve the duration of stay according to the actual situation.

7. Time for entering and leaving the camp

Entry time: 14: 3-21:

Departure time: before 12: noon

(Note: our youth hostel is closed from the first to the third day of the Lunar New Year)

8. Code

All renters must abide by the code of use in the hostel. In case of violation, the person in charge of the hostel has the right to terminate the use of the hostel, and the fees paid will not be refunded. Violators are also responsible for their actions.
