Chenglingji's fame is reflected in the imprint of the flood, where there is a hydrological station famous for the Kyushu earthquake. Paizhou is well known in China, and it is the disaster of 1998. Jinkou has bows and arrows and crossbows in the ancient battlefield of Chibi Mountain, as well as the national famous golden gate built during the Republic of China. Now, the people of China are fascinated by the "Zhongshan Ship" and its salvage and restoration.
In fact, Jinkou Town is very small. There is a street along the river that is no more than one mile long in the north and south, and a street that is less than half a mile long in the east. It arches into a "T-shape" at the entrance of West Street. Because the end of West Street is Jiang 'an Wharf, which is too short to be called Street. In the year when Japanese planes dropped bombs on the "Zhongshan Ship", there were probably less than 3,000 residents in Jinkou Town. In the early sixties, when I picked purple for sale, I walked fifteen miles into the ancient town, but I felt crowded: I carried the burden and sold it along the street, and it was quite difficult to squeeze into an alley two or three meters wide. Of course, I mean the morning market, Jinkou is the water pier, there are ships going directly to the Siguan Temple in Hankou, and there are 60 miles of waterways. At that time, the fare was RMB 40 cents. The class boat is a two-story boat with a row of armchairs upstairs and downstairs, which can accommodate thousands of people at a time.
Of course, there is also a dry dock in Jinkou, and there is a shuttle bus passing by. The coach in the province passes Jiayu and the paper mill in the county.
The golden mouth in my memory has worn out. From the dirt road in the country to the narrow East Street, whenever it rains, you have to take a trip to the dirt road. This is the urban-rural fringe. Mud on the feet of husbands and women in the village seeped into cracks paved with blue stones. After a long time, it will stir up mature mud, which is not good-looking. In the middle of East Street, there is a house with a "high slope" cement wall, which is called the local grocery store. It is the tallest four-story building. Next to it is the famous Jinkou Theater. The gatehouse is old and short, and the theater can only accommodate five or six hundred people. The seat is also a strip with a high backrest, and the stage is pitifully small. The most prominent feature is only two words: dark and dirty. Of course, this does not prevent our little girl from going to the theater without buying tickets, if we can catch up in the street occasionally.
From Gaopozi to Xijiekou, the corner on the left is the busiest department store. Because at the corner, the house is isolated, with two floors. It's crowded and hot in the morning and evening. In the early 1960s, the doors of all the shops in East Street, West Street, South Street and North Street were made of wood, with concave doors and convex doors, and the doors were embedded with each other. However, people use a square wood as a horizontal bolt behind the door to watch the store open or close. We know that Jinkou Town is very old.
What impressed me most when I was a child was reading "picture books" at more than a dozen old book stalls in Jinkou Town. My family is poor, my grandparents don't study, and my descendants have nothing but textbooks. Most of my knowledge of classical literature is obtained from books here. Few people buy books. Most people choose one or two books from a series of comic books, such as The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, The Water Margin, The Journey to the West, The Romance of Sui and Tang Dynasties, A Dream of Red Mansions and The West Chamber. Then sit on the wooden bench, read them first and give them a penny or two according to their thickness after reading them. At that time, my friends and I went to Jinkou to collect firewood and sell it almost every Sunday. Thirty or forty kilograms was only fifty or sixty cents. You can skip meals or eat less. Picture books are a must. Reading picture books is addictive. If you have read one or two books, how can you not read three or four? I really don't have time to stay here for long, so I secretly hid another book on my chest when the Lord wasn't looking, sat on a stool and read one, then took out a penny and left. After returning home, I lay in bed with a beautiful comic book in my hand. I am extremely proud: it seems not difficult to be a book thief! ?
When I was a child, I went to Jinkou and called it "going to the streets". It's fun to listen to people with golden mouths, especially to watch quarrels. Jin Kou people usually speak in cadence and long tones, such as singing, quarreling and swearing. Everyone stares and dances, the frequency of opening their mouths and closing their mouths, and the wonderful wording and sentences of swearing and ugly words make onlookers pleasing to the eye.
In fact, there are many quarrels and curses of "enemies", but few real fights. A woman with a golden mouth is gentle as water, but a man lacks masculinity. How can they fight? Jinkou dialect is unique, neither Wuhan dialect nor Zhifang dialect, nor Jiayu Paizhou language family. I think it should belong to the product of the migration and integration of individual travelers from all corners of the country. Over time, they alienated from each other and formed a unique local accent. ? Oh, Jinkou, Jinkou in the fifties and sixties, is that right?
