A leaf, after Huang Taisheng's meticulous carving, has clear veins, is as thin as a cicada's wing, and is exquisite and translucent, just like the feel and texture of double-sided embroidery.

Huang Taisheng's natural leaf carvings are unique in art and have become typical unique works of art that integrate oriental art and modern technology. They have been collected by many domestic and foreign museums, memorial halls and famous people at home and abroad.

In 1994, Huang Taisheng's natural leaf carving art work was included in the Guinness Book of World Records.

In 1996, Huang Taisheng was awarded the honorary title of "Chinese Folk Arts and Crafts Artist" by UNESCO.

Taixing Puppetry: Taixing puppets are stick puppets, commonly known as three sticks. One stick supports the puppet's head, and the other two sticks control the hands.

Taixing stick puppets are a combination of carving art and manipulation art. When performing, they pay attention to lifting skills, twisting skills and step skills. When operating, they pay attention to stability, accuracy, uprightness and flatness. They also draw lessons from the actors' water sleeves, broken steps, appearances and kites.

Taixing Puppet Show has a history of 180 years.

When it was first introduced from Anhui, the singing style was Anhui tune, and later it was changed to Peking Opera. It gradually developed and formed an artistic style that is stable, vigorous, delicate and expressive.

During the Republic of China, there were as many as 117 puppet theater troupes in Taixing City, active in the city and countryside.

In 1959, many puppet troupes merged into three puppet troupes, which have performed all over the country and won wide acclaim.

In 1973, it was taken over by Yangzhou District and renamed Yangzhou District Puppet Troupe.

Since then, there are still amateur theater troupes active in the rural areas of Taixing City, passed down from generation to generation.

At present, there are still Zhang Jiecheng Puppet Troupe in Taiping Village, Huangqiao Town and Zhang Yubao Puppet Troupe in Shaodaolin, Nansha Town. These two troupes are ancestral.
