My suggestion is to go to Macau first and book a room at the Central Hotel. Take a taxi from the taxi pick-up and drop-off point at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal to the Macau Ferry Terminal (about16km), and the fare is about 155 yuan, plus trunk baggage fee, round-trip toll and cross-harbour tunnel fee, which costs about 200 yuan. The question is whether the driver allows five people to get on the bus. If not, he can only choose a complicated bus route around a big circle.

Take minibus 5R at the pier bus terminal and get off at Ngau Tau Kok Station. The journey takes 12 minutes. Go to Ngau Tau Kok Station, another street behind the station, and take bus 10 1 to Kennedy Town Bus Terminal. After stop 17 (24 minutes), take the bus at Southorn Stadium.

Get off at Hennessy Road Station; Go back 1 min, get off at the entrance/exit of Wan Chai Subway Station B 1, take the Hong Kong Island Line heading for Kennedy Town, and get off at Sheung Wan Station after 3 stops; Take Exit D, and you'll be at the bottom of Xinde Middle School. If you are hungry, you can eat something in the food court on the second floor, and then take a boat to Macau on the third floor.

Get off here by 5R, and then take bus 10 1 at Houbei Station (above the viaduct is Niutoujiao subway station).

10 1 After getting off, return to the entrance of Wan Chai Station and take the subway to Sheung Wan.
