Although my trip to Qinhuangdao was only for 2 days, I met a good landlord (from now on I rented short-term rentals). My time was limited and I only played part of it, but I combined it with the landlord’s suggestions and carried out After in-depth communication, we specially compiled an in-depth travel guide to Qinhuangdao to provide reference for children who are about to go there, and to prepare in advance for their next trip to Qinhuangdao.
(Note: In order to achieve a better display effect, except for a few of the pictures in the article, which were taken by individuals, the rest are from the Internet.)
1. About travel: < /p>
1. Self-driving: If you choose to drive by yourself, please be sure to issue a pass at the local police station in advance. Only with this pass can other local vehicles enter Qinhuangdao. In addition, during the summer, because there are many leaders escaping from the heat, the security check is very strict. You must bring your ID card, and be especially careful not to bring anything that should not be brought in the car, otherwise it will be very troublesome. In addition, in the peak season, there are many cars, so self-driving is not recommended. If you want the convenience of driving, you can rent a car locally.
2. Train: If you are going by train, you need to know that Qinhuangdao has four railway stations, namely Qinhuangdao Station, Beidaihe Station, Shanhaiguan Station and Changli Station. If you plan to visit Beidaihe nearby, choose to get off at Beidaihe Station, as the surrounding attractions are relatively concentrated. Qinhuangdao Station is closer to the north of the city and has fewer attractions around it, so it is not recommended. Shanhaiguan Station, as its name suggests, is very close to Shanhaiguan Scenic Area. Changli Station belongs to Nandaihe. If you just want to visit Nandaihe, you can choose this station to take the bus. After you have a rough idea of ??the location, you can choose which station is more convenient for you to take the bus or get off based on your needs.
3. Bus: As a tourist city, Qinhuangdao has developed bus routes. If you want to travel short distances, you can choose bus, which is low-carbon and environmentally friendly.
4. Taking a taxi: Note that taking a taxi in urban areas is okay, but in tourist areas, the driver does not use the meter for outsiders and it is easy to ask for a price at will. If you must take a taxi, ask about the price before getting in the car. Of course, it’s also easy to be fooled. The suggestion given to me by the landlord Mu Niao is to use Didi to take a taxi and charge directly based on the mileage. This will greatly reduce the possibility of being cheated. We have verified this in the field, at least we have not been cheated.
2. About Accommodation
I usually stay in B&Bs when I go out. The most commonly used one is MuNiao short-term rental. It is very convenient to book B&Bs.
The most popular accommodation area near Beidaihe is Liuzhuang. It has a good location, close to the seaside, and there is a shopping street and night market nearby. It is very convenient to live in. Now it is becoming more and more formal. Yes, the B&B I booked on MuNiao Short-term Rental is here, so I highly recommend it. (Knock on the blackboard: Liuzhuang Night Market is crowded and bustling. It is recommended to go shopping if you have time in the evening.)
Before booking a room, it is recommended that you check whether the landlord has any requirements and whether the room facilities can meet them. Demand, and the other key point is to review the property. Don’t blindly book a room. Communicate with the landlord in advance. B&Bs are more diverse than hotels, and they are more suitable for family travel groups. They have kitchens, refrigerators, etc.
3. About dressing and taking photos
1. Sun protection. In Beidaihe in summer, although the temperature is not very high, the ultraviolet rays are extremely strong. Especially for babies with sensitive skin, it is recommended that you wear sun protection. High-power outdoor sunscreen should be used more frequently. Or choose to wear sun protection clothing with better breathability.
2. Accessories. Sunglasses and a straw hat are also a must. When the sun is strong, it’s really hard to keep your eyes open. Of course, these are also great tools for taking photos.
3. Dress. Regarding taking photos at the beach, of course skirts are better. You can bring white or red solid color long skirts. If you encounter a sunny day with blue sky, white clouds and sea, the photo effect will be absolutely great. If you like something more floral, a bohemian style long skirt is also available. Although there is no white sand beach here, the photo effects at the beach are not bad.
4. Take photos. Regarding the photo-taking actions at the beach, you can search online in advance for some actionable and non-uniform actions, which can effectively avoid tourists taking photos. In addition, you can try jumping or other yoga movements at the beach. If you catch the sunrise or sunset, taking some silhouette photos is also very beautiful and artistic.
4. About Food
1. Types of Seafood: When you arrive in Qinhuangdao, a coastal city, you must not miss the seafood. The seafood here must be fresh and plump. We recommend several local ones. People love to eat delicious and inexpensive seafood: Pipi shrimps, which are tender and juicy, are large in size, and they also eat meat; compared to the famous swimming crabs, Mudiao’s landlord recommends the Huagai shrimps produced in the local sea. Crabs are small but delicious. The most important thing is that the price is much cheaper than swimming crabs, and they are both wild; yellow clams and flower clams, the former can be steamed, boiled and stir-fried, while the latter is recommended to be spicy stir-fried, delicious; razor clams, the meat is delicious , spicy stir-fried is the best, boiled and dipped in sauce tastes good, and the most important thing is that it has a lot of meat; such as abalone and geoduck, the former is expensive during the holidays, the latter has no meat, and scallops, which have large shells and less meat, and have a better texture Also average.
2. Prevent seafood traps: It is still easy for tourists to get scammed when eating seafood.
If it is processed outside, you should pay attention to whether the kitchen will replace the package of seafood and use refrigerated ones instead of fresh ones. You can only keep an eye on this by yourself, so pay more attention. There is also a lack of weight. This can only be based on experience. After all, no one will carry a scale with them when they go out. Of course, the most cost-effective thing is to process it yourself. This is probably the advantage of staying in a B&B. There is a kitchen and a pot that can be used, which can satisfy your desire to eat seafood to your heart's content and it is not expensive. (PS: As an authentic foodie, yes, we eat until we are full in this way.)
3. Purchase of seafood: Of course, it is recommended to cook seafood by yourself, as in most B&Bs There is a kitchen available. If you make it yourself, it is recommended to go to the local seafood market, as you will rarely be short of food. The more famous one is Shitang Road Market, which not only sells seafood, but also various trinkets, such as shell necklaces and pearls. You can buy them together if necessary, but remember to negotiate the price.
5. About travel
Having said so much, I finally want to start introducing the attractions. There are many scenic spots in Qinhuangdao, so I will introduce them into the following categories. You can decide which scenic spots to visit according to your own hobbies.
1. Beach categories (in order from east to west)
1) Coastal boardwalk and Repulse Bay Bathing Beach
Tickets: Free
Qinhuangdao Coastal Plank Road is known as the longest coastal beach wooden plank road in the country. It is about 5 kilometers long and is entirely made of wooden plank roads. This is the sandiest and softest place in Beidaihe Wetland and the tide is flat. Many locals come to this plank road for running or brisk walking. Exercise, and because it is a free scenic spot, there are very few introductions on the Internet, especially Baidu. Repulse Bay Bathing Beach is located on the beach opposite Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park. It is 200-300 meters into the sea from the shore. The water depth is no more than 1 meter. The waves here are very small, making it very suitable for adults and children who cannot swim. At the same time, motor boats, water bikes, beach motorcycles, etc. are all available. Of course, this is chargeable. Due to its geographical location, it is further east than Pigeon Nest Park, so it is also one of the best beaches to watch the sunrise, and it is free. The most important thing is that there are not many tourists here, so those who like peace and quiet can come here to rest and play.
2) Pigeon Nest Park
Tickets: March to October is the peak season. Tickets are 25 yuan. Student ID card is 20 yuan.
This is a famous place to watch the sunrise. Because there is a sun-viewing pavilion built on a high place, the view is better, but there are also many people. If you come here to watch the sunrise, you must remember to catch the sea. After the tide comes in, you can pick up some shells and small crabs on the beach, which is also a way to experience local life. In addition, it is close to the migratory bird protection wetland. Every year from early September to November, tens of thousands of rare migratory birds are welcomed here, which is also a major feature of Qinhuangdao. If you have time, you must come and take a look.
3) Laohushi Water Park
Tickets: 8 yuan for changing clothes and 10 yuan/time
This is the middle beach of Beidaihe and is also the core area. Here you can see a big stone with the words "Beidaihe" engraved on it. There are many sanatoriums and public bathing places nearby. You can choose to walk along the coastline, play and take photos, or rent a bicycle and ride, but remember to negotiate the price.
In addition, there are several places suitable for taking pictures. The first one is the Guiwang Pavilion on the west side of the park, where you can take pictures and enjoy the beautiful sunset; the other one is the big stone in Beidaihe. Take a photo and check in to prove that you have arrived in Beidaihe; if you continue forward, you can see a Wedding photography base, with various props, is the first choice for concave shape photography.
4) Lianfengshan Park
Tickets: 30 yuan for students, 15 yuan for students
Near Lianfengshan Park is the famous West Beach, this part is free , the beach is also relatively clean. There are many Russians here, and there are also many Russian beauties. You can go here to bask in the sun, swim and watch the beauties.
Lianfengshan Park is a place where locals go for morning exercises, mainly because of its good environment and fresh air. The most important thing is that this was the place where Mao Zedong watched the sunrise. The top of the mountain has a wide view and overlooks the sea view of Qinhuangdao, which makes people feel happy.
2. Great Wall Category:
1) Shanhaiguan, Laolongtou
Tickets: Shanhaiguan 50 yuan, Laolongtou 60 yuan, buy a combined ticket online for only 100 yuan
p>
As the eastern starting point of the Ming Great Wall, the biggest difference between this place and other sections of the Great Wall is that you can see the sea. The terrain of Laolongtou is high and steep, and Chenghai Tower is the highest point of Laolongtou. It is a scenic spot for viewing the sea. One of the Bagua arrays (or mazes) is very interesting. If you can't get out, you can jump to the low side wall of the Bagua array. You can also go to the beach to play in Laolongtou. The beauty of Laolongtou lies in the wonders of the city and sea. When the sea breeze blows, the historical charm comes to you.
?2) Jiaoshan Great Wall
Ticket: 30 yuan
Jiaoshan is the third section of the Great Wall starting from Laolongtou on the Bohai Sea, passing through Shanhaiguan, and heading north. It is a mountain peak, so it is also called "the first mountain on the Great Wall". It is adjacent to Yansai Lake and is generally the first choice for hiking enthusiasts. To be honest, the Great Wall here is not as well repaired as Shanhaiguan due to its age, so most people still don’t recommend going there.
3. Entertainment:
1) Biluota Bar Park
Ticket: 100 yuan
The location here is excellent. Surrounded by the sea on three sides, it is suitable for fun at night. There will also be Thai ladyboy performances and bonfire parties in the evening, and music festivals are often held here. In addition to the performance, the seafood beer here is also a must-try. Eat seafood, watch performances, and enjoy the sea breeze, a relaxing night. But the tickets and the consumption inside are not low, but there are still some pitfalls. The landlord of MuNiao short-term rental said that locals rarely go here, and there are more tourists. It depends on personal preference.
2) Jinshawan Sand Sculpture World
Ticket: 60 yuan
There are a variety of magical sand sculptures, as well as some water play facilities and beaches. It’s also very soft, making it a great place to swim and sunbathe. The amusement facilities and sand and grass sliding projects inside are recommended. Going down from a high place is exciting and fun.
3) Nandaihe Xianluo Island Amusement Center
Tickets: 45 yuan, it is recommended to buy a package, 85 yuan for ropeway and 7 entertainment items on the island online shopping
Xian Luodao is a multi-functional comprehensive marine entertainment place, which contains the only 1,000-meter cross-sea cableway in China, overlooking the blue sea and blue sky of Nandai River. In fact, Xianluo Island is a very small island that contains some extreme sports, such as sea bungee jumping, which is worth recommending.
Careful friends may notice that I do not recommend scenic spots such as Ledao Ocean Park and Wildlife Park, mainly because these are available in many places and are similar across the country. There is no need to come. See Qinhuangdao.
Finally finished writing, I hope it will be helpful to everyone.
