Shanghai Public Security Museum, the first public security museum in China, has seven floors, with a height of 39.9 meters and a total area of 8151 square meters. There are ten branches in the museum, such as preface, public security history, criminal investigation, public security, transportation, prison, fire protection, equipment, heroic and heroic exchanges and police affairs. This paper records the historical evolution of the police organization in Shanghai since it was established in 1854, and its achievements in cracking down on crime, ensuring various constructions and maintaining social stability. There are more than 11,111 Chinese and foreign collections of public security themes from the late Qing Dynasty to the present, including 49 national first-class cultural relics, which reflect the situation of public security work in a certain stage or field, and even the development of Shanghai, an international metropolis, for more than a century.
