Yunxiao County is located in southern Fujian, adjacent to Chaoshan area. Influenced by Chaoshan area culture, people in Yunxiao County are strongly fond of Chaozhou Opera. The county has also established the Yunxiao Chaozhou Opera Troupe, which is well received by the general public. Folk activities with local characteristics include the Lantern Festival on the 15th, and each village also has its own local festivals, which are commonly known as "acting" in local dialect (Minnan dialect, meaning social drama).
Zheng Chen, Chen Yuanguang and his son, famous soldiers in the Tang Dynasty, set up a county here, which has since become a "holy land for opening and opening". Later, in order to chase Myanmar's achievements in opening Zhang, Weihui Temple was built to worship. Yunxiao Weihui Temple, located at No.557 Gongnong Road, Xiyuan Street, outside the west gate of Yunxiao County, Fujian Province, is one of the important historical sites of "Kaizhang". It was built in Sisheng, Tang Zhongzong (AD 684), and was originally called "General Chen Temple", which was the first memorial to General Zheng Chen, the pioneer of Zhangzhou. A few days later, Chen Yuanguang, the holy king of Kaizhang, and his main assistant also entered this temple, with Chen Yuanguang, the holy king, as the main god. In the third year of Huizong administration in the Northern Song Dynasty, the court awarded the name "Weihui Temple" and gave it a plaque. In the Song Dynasty, Zhangpu county magistrate (Yunxiao belonged to Zhangpu) had a famous sentence: "There is no biography in Tang Shi, and there is a temple in Zhangjiang to worship the general", which was the first to promote this temple as the oldest temple of the Holy King. After years of vicissitudes and wars, it was restored several times: for example, in the fourth year of Hongzhi in Ming Dynasty (1491), in the fourth year of Chongzhen (1631) and in the years of Daoguang and Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, it was rebuilt successively, and there were many inscriptions. The existing temple features are mainly architectural remains during Chenghua period of Ming Dynasty (1465-1487). After the renovation, tourists from home and abroad came one after another to visit the Kaizhang martyrs in Weihui Temple and visit many historical relics in Yunxiao, the birthplace of Kaizhang.
There are many temples of Kaizhang Shengwang in Yunxiao local urban and rural areas. According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 1 temples, and the sacrifices have not been replaced by generations, and the incense is flourishing. General Chen Yuanguang, the hero who started Zhangzhou, has made great achievements for the development of southern Fujian, benefiting all the people. Therefore, Yunxiao people have deep feelings for generations of Chen Yuanguang's grandparents and their ministries, and have been commemorating him with the special folk activity of "Opening a Holy King to Visit An" for thousands of years.

1. Touring the city
After the temple worship, the people carried the gods out of the temple and began to tour the villages. There are embroidered flags leading, and then four boys dressed in costumes carry a pair of palace lanterns first. The order of the statues is as follows: the land gods lead the way, followed by Marshal Ma Ren, strategist Li Boyao, Prince Chen Jun, Wang Nv Chen Huaiyu, his wife Zhong Shi, and Saint King Chen Yuanguang at the back. The God-lifting team is surrounded by drum bands, accompanied by gongs, drums and flutes. Wherever he went, firecrackers contended and incense tables were set up at various intersections to welcome him. Men, women and children cheered and were very lively. All the newly married or newborn boys' homes this year will respectfully invite the gods to the front of their doors, set up incense tables and offer gold dates and tea. After the service, the worshippers and the drum band were cordially invited to eat honey dates and oolong tea, which was called "patrolling the city" or "patrolling the security" to commemorate the kindness of the soldiers who opened Zhangzhou to patrol all parts of southern Fujian all the year round, so as to stabilize the society and ensure the people's living and working in peace and contentment.
Second, Jian Wang
After the ceremony of touring the city, the gods were arranged in a concentrated way, perched in the "King's Shed" opposite the stage, and for a while, colorful flags, banners and drums surrounded the King's Shed. In front of the shed, the incense table was placed high, and there were eight celadon flower pots listed on the table. On the pots, grass columns made of bamboo poles and wheat poles stood, the columns were sealed with pork slices, and the tops of the columns were decorated with Ganqimu (taking the legacy of Gantang as a memorial for generations), and sacrifices such as chicken, duck and fish were placed separately. In front of the altar, they were made of flour, glutinous rice flour and vegetables. Commonly known as "running a big bowl". On this occasion, every household has prepared wine, meat, cakes and fruits. It's really like a mountain of offerings, and people are rushing to each other, offering sacrifices for worship. It is called "Jian Wang".
third, walk the king
in the afternoon, it will be followed by the "walk the king" activity. This custom has been prosperous for thousands of years, which shows that Yunxiao people will never forget the kindness and kindness of Kaizhang heroes. When the ceremony of offering sacrifices and offering sacrifices reaches its climax, aged person in the village community will lead dozens of pre-selected young and strong men, and every six athletes will form a group, and each group will hold a giant woodcarving statue. The order of the statues is arranged at the beginning of a specific section as mentioned above, and they are lined up to be sent. There are two saluters at the starting point and the end point, who are specially in charge of firing the "three salutes" (that is, the three salutes are made of iron pipes and filled with gunpowder), while two others sound gongs to clear the way before the statue, and then there is another one who holds an umbrella to support the sedan chair, which is worth hearing the sound of drums and guns. Athletes in each group respectively lift each statue and work together to gallop like flies until the designated end point. It reproduces the majestic scene of the sages of Kaizhang galloping on the battlefield in those days. Like this form, each idol is held in turn, and the winner is the one with its speed, strength and beauty. It is really a special sport, commonly known as "walking the king".
