This year, the third, ninth and tenth sections of the first phase project of Shenyang Metro Line 4 will be opened, and it is currently in the bidding stage.

The third bid section includes Wanghuatun Station and the section from Wanghuatun Station to Guanquan Road Station. Wanghuatun Station will be constructed by cut and cover, and the section will be constructed by shield method. The ninth bid section includes Taiyuan Street Station and the section from Taiyuan Street Station to Nanwuma Road Station. The station is constructed by mining method, and the section is constructed by mining method. The fourteenth bid section includes the open-cut section between Wangshitun Station and Shanghecun Station, Shanghecun Station, Shanghecun Station to Hongchun Road Station, Hongchun Road Station and Hongchun Road Station to Urban Construction College Station. According to the engineering arrangement, the elevated north section of the North-South Expressway is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in September this year. According to the route direction of Metro Line 4, part of the third bid section will overlap with the construction section of the North-South Expressway. If the bid section starts before the viaduct is opened to traffic, it will aggravate the traffic congestion in this section. Shenyang Metro Line 4 starts from Hushitai in the north and ends at New Shenyang South Station in the south, with a total length of about 41 kilometers, which is divided into Phase I and Phase II projects.

The first phase of the project starts from Wanghua Street Station in the north and ends at Hangtian South Road Station in the south. It passes through the five districts of Dadong, Shenhe, Heping, Sujiatun and Hunnan, with a total length of 34.112 kilometers and 23 stations.

It mainly passes through New Shenyang South Railway Station and Shenyang North Railway Station, connecting Taiyuan Street Business Circle, Shenyang North Railway Station and other business districts, changbai island, Shashan, Wanghua, Hushitai, Sujiatun and other residential areas, as well as Hunnan Industrial Zone and EU Economic Zone.
