The most prosperous area in Yantai is Zhifu District. There is a very prosperous South Street in Zhifu District. The newer one is Wanda Plaza, which is also relatively prosperous and is a paradise for shopping and food.

Yantai South Street is called Yantai First Street. The area around South Street is home to Zhenhua Shopping Center, South Street Shopping City, Xinhui Gold Store, Wal-Mart and other large supermarkets.

There are also various specialty stores along the street, such as: Belle, G200, Jeanswest, Li Ning, Fulai Jade Specialty Store, Film University Digital Laser Printing, Xingyu KTV, Taifeng Commercial Building, time-honored grilled chicken legs, and a night market in the evening for shopping and delicious food.
