My favorite texts from those years

Chinese class was one of my favorite subjects when I was a student. The modern and ancient literature included in the textbooks are all carefully selected and worthy of careful appreciation. What remains fresh in my memory is the first-grade text "Autumn". The colorful pictures and the use of anthropomorphic rhetorical techniques on various animals started my love for Chinese language. I also secretly determined that one day I could write something that would make people happy. A beautiful article that leaves a deep impression on people.

The second article that left a particularly deep impression on me was "Lovely Grass Pond", which presented the natural scenery of Beidahuang. In the description, the author began to say that he was feeling very bored, but the beautiful scenery he saw later made him... The mood was blooming. In addition to the green waves rolling in the grass pond, there were also wonderful descriptions of "beating roe deer with sticks and ladles to scoop out fish, pheasants flying into the rice pot", catching trapped robes alive in the snow, and using water when freezing in spring. The gourd fishing boat catches all kinds of small fish, especially the "bubbles" where fish are crowded together. The scene is so vivid that it is unforgettable to this day.

The third text I particularly like is Liu Shaotang’s "Elm Money Rice". There are no elm money trees in the south. I watched Aunt Y climb the tree and pick a lot of elm money. It is sweet and delicious when eaten raw and steamed. It has a unique flavor when you eat it. It tastes much better than Yang Ya'er and Liu Ye'er. I swallowed unconsciously, as if I had eaten a full meal. Nowadays, with the development of e-commerce, it is not difficult to eat northern delicacies. I hope that one day I can try the recipes in the book and taste them carefully.

The fourth article is "Little Orange Lantern" by teacher Bing Xin. It tells the story of a thin girl who met the author when she was asking a doctor for her seriously ill mother on New Year's Eve. The author then went to the little girl's home to visit her mother. The little orange lantern was the highlight of the little girl's dealings with others. She picked the biggest orange, took out the orange segments and placed them next to her mother. Then she deftly made a small orange lantern and gave it to the author for lighting. The author's sensible and careful approach brought tears to his eyes. My eyes felt wet when I read this paragraph. The predicament in front of me cannot destroy the girl's good character of kindness and hard work. What reason do we have not to work hard in life?

There are also "Beautiful Xiaoxing'an Mountains", "Green Office", "Peanuts", "Ieper's Feet" and many excerpts from the works of Mr. Lu Xun and Mr. Lao She, which are all memories treasured in my mind.

They are of various types and styles, and they are all worth reading. They have laid a precious foundation for me to like Chinese and words more and more. Thank you for meeting me!
