Nanchang's name comes from the meaning of "prosperous south, prosperous south". Founded in 22 BC, Nanchang is one of the first national historical and cultural cities in the State Council. In Preface to Tengwang Pavilion, Wang Bo, the fourth outstanding figure in the early Tang Dynasty, called it "a land of treasure, with outstanding people and outstanding spirits". On August 1, 1927, Nanchang Uprising broke out, and Nanchang became the place where the military flag was raised, and was known as the "Hero City".

Tengwangge

The first of the three famous buildings in the south of the Yangtze River (Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan, Hubei, Yueyang Tower in Hunan) is located on the east bank of Ganjiang River along Jiang Yan Road in the northwest of Nanchang, Jiangxi. It was founded in the fourth year of Yonghui in the Tang Dynasty. It was named after the founding of Li Yuanying, the younger brother of Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong, and became popular in later generations because of the poem "The sunset and the lonely Qi Fei, the autumn water is the same as the sky" written by Wang Bo, a poet in the early Tang Dynasty.

During the Zhenguan period, Li Yuanying, son of Tang Gaozu Li Yuan and brother of Li Shimin of Emperor Taizong, was sealed in Tengzhou, Shandong Province, hence the name Wang Tengge (later destroyed). Later, Wang Teng Li Yuanying was transferred to Hongzhou (now Nanchang, Jiangxi Province) in the south of the Yangtze River. Because he missed his hometown, he built the famous Wang Tengting Pavilion in Tengzhou. The kudzu pavilion has been destroyed and built again and again, and the version built for the 29th time still exists.

Nanchang Night Market

Chuanshan Road Night Market is located in Chuanshan Road, Xihu District; Jinsheng Tower Night Market is located in Jinsheng Tower in Xihu District. Jewelry Street is located in Jewelry Street, Xihu District.

It is suggested to find a place to live in Xihu District (we chose Chaozhou Middle Road, a chain hotel in Chengyi), which is not far from Wang Teng Pavilion and night market, and you can get there by taxi from 8 yuan.

bus: take bus No.228, and it takes 1 minutes to get to Wang Teng Pavilion; Rail Transit Line 1 takes 24 minutes to reach Chuanshan Road Night Market; Walk 65 meters outside Fuhe 18 Bridge, and 6 minutes to Jinsheng Tower Night Market. The night market recommends crossing the mountain road.

Jiangxi cuisine has a strong taste, and the use of soy sauce is just right. Some dishes are spicy, but they don't eat hemp.

Nanchang cuisine

A crock simmer soup: the soup is delicious and cheap. A soup at Chuanshan Road Night Market ranges from 3 to 15 yuan. Those who like soup must try it.

b steamed pork with flour: compared with ordinary steamed pork with flour, it has a unique plum flavor, and I like it very much.

c distiller's grains fish: Nanchang is near Poyang Lake. Unique fish products conform to the practice of distiller's grains in eastern China, creating a way to eat distiller's grains fish. Spicy-hot fish with a slightly alcoholic taste is very good.

d: the so-called boiled chicken is similar to Sichuan beggar chicken. All kinds of ingredients in the cauldron are strung together. After the guests order it, put it in the center of the brine, boil it, and then mix it with seasoning. It tastes very spicy, just right.

e: I ate it at Weifuji near Bayi Square, similar to soup and rice. It tastes so fresh that you can eat it without eating it.

f laoniang soy sauce bibimbap: I also ate it at Weifuji in Bayi Square. It's steamed in an old lunch box from the 197s, mixed with lard and soy sauce, and it's delicious.
