black rice
Black rice has a long history, which appeared in the Tang Dynasty. At that time, it was called "green rice", which was a health food for Taoism to seek immortality and was a bait for Taoism to fast. Du Fu's poem "To Li Bai" says, "There is no refined rice that makes me look good. "Suffering from lack of great medicine resources, the mountains and forests are swept away."

mutton with books-all-sheep feast
"mutton with books" has a history of hundreds of years and is well-known in East China. The biggest feature of the "Collection of All-sheep Banquet" is that diners can eat all the things on the sheep, but unlike northerners, they don't put the whole sheep on the table and everyone cuts it piece by piece with a knife. There is something unique about the mutton cooked by book collectors, that is, the mutton is cooked in a wooden barrel pot, and the taste is particularly delicious.

In fact, the ancient town cuisine is also famous for black rice and black rice dumplings. On the eighth day of the fourth lunar month, black rice "is cooked by every family and eaten by every household", which has become a unique landscape.
When you go to Mudu, don't forget to go to Shantang Street to taste the old-fashioned "Ganshengyuan" jujube paste cake, which is also a unique skill in Mudu. If you eat, there are many restaurants on Jinshan Road, including the Red Leaf Hotel, Huantian Hotel, 9 Bowl Pot Restaurant, Longsheng Hotel, and Meet Food City. Personally, I think these restaurants are good. If you think those restaurants are expensive, there is a small Kunshan Hotel at the junction of Jinshan Road and Huayuan Street, which is relatively affordable. There are also some snack bars in Huayuan Street, such as Yonghe.
