Fuzhou not only has a lot of southern Fujian food, but also has beautiful scenery. One of my favorite attractions is West Lake Park, so this is the first place I recommend. It is a public and free attraction. And it's right in Fuzhou city. West Lake Park has a history of more than 1,700 years, and it is very rare to have such Jiangnan-style classical garden architecture in Fuzhou.

There are three small islands per day in West Lake Park, and the Fujian Provincial Museum is also in West Lake Park. During the Dragon Boat Festival, dragon boat rowing activities are held here, which is quite lively. And the West Lake Park is lined with green trees and blooming flowers everywhere, and the scenery is very beautiful. Many local old ladies and grandfathers in Fuzhou like to do morning exercise here. It can be said that West Lake Park is the place where you can best experience the local culture and customs of Fuzhou.

Gushan in Fuzhou is worth setting aside a day to visit. Take bus No. 7, 303 or 115 in the city and get off at Xiayuan Station, then walk for about ten minutes to Gushan. Gushan does not require tickets, but if you want to go to Shibajing Park in the Gushan Scenic Area, you need a ten-yuan ticket. Yongquan Temple also charges an additional fee, and the ticket costs 440 yuan. If you don't want to climb the mountain, you can also take the cableway. The round-trip cableway costs 70 yuan, and the one-way trip costs 50 yuan. It is more cost-effective to return the cableway.

Gushan has a long history. It existed in the Song Dynasty. There is a huge stone spread out on the top of Gushan Mountain, which looks like a big drum. This is why Gushan got its name. And the most peculiar thing is that every time it rains, the rain hitting the rocks will make a rumbling drum sound, which is very interesting. During the climb, there is a Yongquan Temple halfway up the mountain. Inside the temple there is a thousand-year-old iron tree, strange mountains and rocks, and lush plants covering the entire mountain peak. The fresh air is like a big oxygen bar.

Fuzhou is a city close to the sea, so when you arrive in Fuzhou, you must go to an island. The most suitable way to go to Haitan Island is to travel by car or rent a car. This is the largest island in Fuzhou, along the coast of Haitan Island. The coastline is long and winding, the sand on the beach is fine, and the water is clear.

The most distinctive thing on the island is the stone house, which is also the most attractive place for tourists. Moreover, there are many unique attractions on the island. Thirty-six Foot Lake and Haitan Tianshen are must-see attractions. After enjoying the beautiful scenery, you can go to the resort on the island to rest.
