Wolong Nature Reserve, the hometown of giant pandas, is located on both sides of Pitiao Valley at the eastern foot of Siguniang Mountain.

Pitiao Valley is also known as Wolong Valley. The river in the ditch is called Pitiao River. The water flow is rapid and flows thousands of miles. It merges into the Mianjiang River and then flows into the Yangtze River through the Minjiang River.

Wolong National Nature Reserve[1] is located in the southwest of Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, China, on the east side of the Qionglai Mountains.

The highest peak is Mount Siguniang in the southwest, with an altitude of 6,250 meters. There are 101 nearby peaks higher than 5,000 meters.

Surrounded by mountains, the terrain slopes from southwest to northeast and has many streams.

The annual average temperature is 8.9℃, the maximum temperature is 29.2℃, the minimum temperature is -8.5℃, and the annual precipitation is 931 mm.

The original forest is dense and located in the transition zone between the Sichuan Basin and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, where organisms from subtropical to temperate and frigid zones are distributed.
