Tianjin Sanjue refers to the three unique Tianjin flavor foods, which refer to three traditional Tianjin delicacies: Goubuli steamed buns, 18th Street Mahua, and Er'eryan Fried Cake.
1. Goubuli Steamed Buns Goubuli Steamed Buns was founded in 1858 AD and has a history of more than 100 years. This snack is the first among the "Three Wonders of Tianjin" and one of the time-honored brands in China.
Goubuli's steamed buns are carefully selected for their dough and fillings, their production process is strict, and their appearance is beautiful. In particular, the buns have well-proportioned pleats, with each bun having no less than 15 pleats.
2. 18th Street Mahua Gui Faxiang 18th Street Mahua shop was once located at 18th Street on Dagu South Road, so people used to call it 18th Street Mahua. After the reconstruction of 18th Street, a new Guizhou Street Mahua shop was built 200 meters away from the original site.

In the center of each Guifaxiang twist is a crisp stick with assorted fillings made of sesame seeds, peach kernels, melon seed kernels, green plums, osmanthus, green and red silk and essence water.
After the twists are formed, put them into a peanut oil pan and fry them thoroughly over low heat, then add rock sugar cubes and sprinkle with green and red shreds, melon strips and other small ingredients.
3. Er-Eye Fried Cake Er-Eye Fried Cake originated during the Guangxu period of the late Qing Dynasty and was created by Liu Wanchun, a Muslim. The fried cake has carefully selected ingredients, fine production, high quality and low price, earning it the nickname "Fried Cake Liu".
Er'an Fried Cake is made with glutinous rice as the dough, fried red beans and red and white sugar as the filling, and fried with sesame oil.
Tianjin people’s first taste is umami.
Tianjin cuisine pays great attention to the freshness and quality of ingredients, so its dishes are very delicious.
For example, dishes such as steamed sea bass and stir-fried lamb with green onions are all made with fresh seafood and meat as the main raw materials, and are refreshing, tender and delicious.
Second is the saltiness.
The cooking skills of Tianjin cuisine are very high, and they can bring out the original flavor of the ingredients to the extreme.
For example, dishes such as braised pork and stir-fried chicken with soy sauce use salty flavor as the main seasoning.
The third is sweetness.
Although the taste of Tianjin cuisine is mainly salty, an appropriate amount of sugar is also added to adjust the taste.
For example, dishes such as sweet and sour pork tenderloin and honey-glazed barbecued pork use sweetness as the main seasoning, but they do not make people feel overly sweet.
