The first issue: "The Story of Staple Food"
Xi'an was called Chang'an and Haojing in ancient times. It is now the capital of Shaanxi Province, a sub-provincial city, and a national regional central city (Northwest). It is an important central city in western China and an important national scientific research, education and industrial base approved by the State Council. Xi'an is one of the four ancient capitals in China, a "World Historic City" identified by UNESCO in 1981, and one of the top ten ancient capitals in the world selected by the US media.
Xi'an delicacies include biángbiang noodles, which are traditional folk-flavored noodles in Guanzhong, Shaanxi. They refer specifically to flour ground from Guanzhong wheat and are usually hand-stretched into long, thick noodles. Qinzhen Liangpi has a history of more than 2,000 years. According to local legend in Qinzhen, Liangpi began to be produced during the period of Qin Shihuang as a gift to the dynasty. It is made of rice flour as raw material. Because it is mainly produced in Qinzhen, Hu County, it is also called Qinzhen rice noodle. When making it, the rice flour is mixed into a paste, spread flat in a multi-layer bamboo cage, and then steamed. The cold rubber tendons are thin, thin, soft and have a unique flavor. Roujiamo is a famous snack originating from the ancient city of Xi'an. It is a wonderful combination of two foods: cured meat and white lucky steamed bun. Eaters praise it as "the fat meat will not make your mouth greasy, the lean meat will have no residue and the mouth will be full of oil, the meat will rot without teeth, and the fragrance will linger for a long time after eating".
Xi’an is one of the first batch of outstanding tourist cities in China. Xi'an's cultural relics are characterized by high resource density, good preservation and high level. Among the 155 basic types in the China Tourism Resources Census, Xi'an's tourism resources occupy 89. There are 72 imperial tombs around Xi'an, including the tomb of Qin Shihuang, the "one emperor through the ages", the ruins of the four major capitals of Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang, 11 tombs of emperors of the Western Han Dynasty and 18 tombs of emperors of the Tang Dynasty, the Big and Small Wild Goose Pagodas, Bell and Drum Towers, ancient There are more than 700 ancient buildings such as city walls. Xi'an has beautiful natural ecology. The Qinling Mountains, located south of Xi'an, is known as China's "Central Park" and is the north-south watershed in China's geography and climate. In 2009, Zhongnan Mountain in the Qinling Mountains successfully passed the UNESCO review and became a World Geopark. The world-famous World Horticultural Exposition 2011 will also be held in Xi'an.
