The memorial hall of the former site of the peasant movement workshop hosted by Comrade Mao Zedong is located at No.42, Zhongshan 4th Road, Guangzhou.

The former site was Panyu Xuegong (Confucius Temple), which was built in 137 (the third year of Ming Hongwu). This magnificent ancient building consists of Lingxingmen, Panchi, Arch Bridge, Dachengmen, Dachengdian, Chongsheng Temple, two corridors, two temples and Mingluntang on both sides from south to north.

after the first state-to-state cooperation was formed, the national revolutionary movement developed rapidly. In order to cooperate with the upcoming Northern Expedition and develop the national peasant movement, from May to September, 1926, the Sixth Workshop of Peasant Movement was held here, with Zhou Enlai, Xiao Chunv, Peng Pai and Yun Daiying as teachers. 327 students from 2 provinces and autonomous regions studied the theory and methods of the peasant movement, received strict military training and participated in the revolutionary struggle. After graduation, the students went to all parts of the country to lead the peasant movement and made important contributions to the China Revolution. This ancient building, the former site of the Agricultural Institute, has become a revolutionary memorial with great historical significance.

Mao Zedong, in addition to serving as the director, is responsible for presiding over the work, and also personally taught students three courses: China Farmers' Issues, Rural Education and Geography. Mao Zedong made a scientific analysis of the economic status and political attitudes of various classes in China society by using Marxism–Leninism's class analysis method. His lectures integrated theory with practice, which was easy to explain, and the students benefited a lot. Mao Zedong also edited a set of Series on Peasants' Issues, and published 26 kinds of them, providing theoretical guidance for promoting the development of the peasant movement. Mao Zedong personally wrote the preface "National Movement and Peasant Movement" for this series, and made active exploration on the theory of peasant movement.

After the founding of New China, the Party and the People's Government of China attached great importance to the restoration, publicity and education of this revolutionary site. In 1953, the memorial hall of the former site of the peasant movement workshop hosted by Comrade Mao Zedong was established, and Zhou Enlai personally named the former site. In 1961, the State Council announced that the former site of Guangzhou Peasant Movement Workshop was a national key cultural relics protection unit. In 1994, it was announced by the Guangzhou Municipal Committee and the Municipal People's Government as the first batch of patriotic education bases. In 21, it was announced by the Central Propaganda Department as the second batch of patriotic education demonstration bases in China. In 25, it was named as a national red tourism classic scenic spot by the National Development and Reform Commission and other ministries and commissions.

In the former site of the Agricultural Institute, the director's office, academic affairs department, military training department, classrooms and student dormitories were all arranged as they were, supplemented by the exhibition "Restoration and Exhibition of the Former Site of the Agricultural Institute", which showed the history of the first to the sixth agricultural institute realistically. At the same time, in line with the party's line, principles and policies, special exhibitions rich in patriotism and revolutionary tradition education are held every year. Since its establishment, the former site of the Agricultural Institute has received more than 2 million visitors and tens of thousands of international friends from five continents.

Our library has restored the Minglun Hall and Guangji Hall of Xuegong East Road in Panyu, displaying the statue of Confucius and the model of Guangdong Gongyuan, and restored the imperial examination room. There are also exhibitions such as Confucius and Confucianism and China Imperial Examination Culture. The opening ceremony is an important part of the traditional culture of Xuegong, commonly known as "breaking the enlightenment", which means that children begin to learn to read and practice, and life begins from this, which embodies the fine tradition of the Chinese nation that attaches importance to education, pursues scientific and cultural knowledge, and dares to explore the truth of the objective world. Thanks to the efforts of experts and the staff of our library, our library has restored a set of pen opener, and children from all over the world are invited to participate in pen opening every year.
