The majesty of Mount Tai, the beauty of Emei, the magic of the Three Gorges, and the wonderful natural landscape of Zhangjiajie... I have been lucky enough to experience it in recent years, and from now on I no longer plan to visit mountains and rivers. However, as if by mistake, during the early summer holiday of Jiyou, they went into the deep mountains and forests together. They stayed in Dalaoling, located at the junction of Yichang, Xingshan and Zigui counties in western Hubei, and they didn't want to leave as soon as they stayed.
Dalaoling, which has a radius of 64 square kilometers, has a "National Forest Park" sign. It was the headline news on the front page of "Yichang Daily" that attracted me, or whether I was actually acquainted with Dalaoling by fate, I can't tell. I just felt that the entire Dalaoling forest area was like a huge disk, which firmly fixed my body and mind.
For more than ten days, I have been restless and impatient: with my skills, it is impossible to describe the mountains and rivers of Dalao Ridge in depth; with my knowledge, it is impossible It is impossible to describe the strange flowers and fruits, plant medicines, rare trees, birds and animals in Dalaoling. Fortunately, I am sincere, my pen is still young, and I still have good wishes.

Climb the ridge and see the "Dragon Pan" at Panlong Ridge ”
The Dalaoling Forest District office is located in a forest farm directly under the jurisdiction of Yichang City, with an altitude of more than 1,700 meters. It was already evening when the van took us along the mountain road from Dengcun, a tea town, to the station, and we felt unbearably cold. One by one, they rushed to put on their sweaters. The guest house, which could accommodate more than a hundred people, was already overcrowded, so they had to make do with more furnishings and extra bedding.
When I woke up, I was dumbfounded: The sky was clear when I arrived, so why did it start to rain? It seems that Dalaoling does not welcome visitors like us. Just when we were worried, Zeng Wenfu, the manager of the tourism department, barged in and announced that the weather would be fine in the afternoon. He volunteered to be our guide and take us to Panlongling for sightseeing in the afternoon. Before lunch, the clouds cleared and the sky cleared, the wind stopped and the rain stopped. Led by Mr. Zeng, a group of six people happily climbed the mountain behind the forest farm and headed for Panlong Ridge.
During the mountains and forests, crossing the streams, the mountains are full of green and the ground is full of treasures. One asked what kind of flower it was, and the other asked what kind of tree it was. Mr. Zeng was overwhelmed with answers: "Good flowers, good trees, good medicinal materials, they are all in front!"
They stared wide-eyed and kept silent. .
“Look, Panlong Ridge after the rain: clouds and mist are swirling, and the dragon is about to fly!”
Oh, climbing up the back of the mountain is like riding on a dragon! Thick clouds and light fog rolled and filled the air, sometimes drowning us, and sometimes drifting away quickly with the wind; the distant mountains were dazzling in the sunlight, and the ancient trees in the nearby mountains were towering and lush, and the sunlight formed a brilliant halo in the forest.
Everyone is intoxicated in the embrace of nature, leaning on trees and sitting on rocks, greedily capturing and appreciating the wonderful scenery and endless charm of Panlong Ridge with their eyes.
But Mr. Zeng urged: "Come on, there is the 'Thousand-Armed Guanyin' ahead!"

A while of climbing After taking a breath, the "Thousand-Hand Guanyin" waved to us. All of a sudden, everyone gathered around: some climbed the tree to take photos, some watched intently, or touched with their hands...
"Thousands of hands" is an exaggeration, but "hundreds of hands" is undoubtedly. This is a creation of nature, and it is also a unique tree species in Dalaoling forest area. Its scientific name is "Beech". The trunk of the tree cannot be surrounded by two people, and the branches are smooth, round, and curved, like slender hands. No wonder it is called Guanyin Bodhisattva. The whole tree is about ten meters high and grows into an umbrella shape. The leaves are very small and thin, and they are also distributed in clusters in an umbrella shape. After careful observation, you will know that the person who named "Thousand-Hand Guanyin" has extraordinary vision.
After paying homage to the "Thousand-Hand Guanyin", Mr. Zeng led us to wander among the trees for half an hour, and stopped next to another "Beech".
"Panlong, that's it. Look at how it survives on Panlong Ridge - below, Panlong is a tree root!"
It is indeed a dragon. "dragon"!
This "dragon" is half hidden in the soil and half suspended in the air. The "dragon" roots as thick as the mouth of a bowl are crisscrossed and entwined with each other. It is difficult to tell how many circles and layers there are.
The tail of the "dragon" is no longer visible. Looking up, the "dragon's head" is high. I wonder if it will stay in the mountains of Xiongzhen forever, or if it wants to take off immediately! Taking photos while standing on the "dragon" body or lying on the "dragon body" has a very different feeling and effect. My companions and I all wanted to become a "dragon" and regretted not bringing more color film.
We all became "dragons", so we wandered leisurely, laughing and joking, and went on the road to pursue the "years" of the past. Mr. Zeng is a photographer. When a work of a towering tree with a majestic and majestic appearance was published in a newspaper not long ago, it was called "Years".
I have been pursuing "Years", and I lament that life is short and the years are fleeting. This towering tree has a history of thousands of years. It actually grows on a hillside, with a tree trunk that requires five people to hug each other. It can reach the sky well, but only half of it stands on the ground. In order to support its balance, it looks for a fulcrum in the other half of the suspended space; thus, its thick roots are like toes. It seems to stretch out to the hillside, to the surroundings, and penetrate deeply into the soil... How many winds and rains? How much frost and snow is there? Over time, I found the fulcrum and the balance. So the light food stayed in the dew, traveled day and night, and worked hard to develop and grow upward day and night, forming a majestic scenery and perfectly creating a tall and upright image!
"One day in the mountains, one thousand years in the world"!
