After leaving Jishou Railway Station, there is a Pheasant Bus to Fenghuang Ancient Town for 15 yuan/person, or you can take a regular bus to South Bus Station for 15 yuan/person.

The journey takes about 1 and a half hours.

When you arrive at Fenghuang Ancient City, don't believe those women who tell you there is an inn behind you.

Non-holidays (Sunday--Thursday): 80--100/night for hotel's riverside rooms, 30--50/night for non-riverside rooms, 100--120/night for riverside rooms on holidays (Friday--Saturday).

Note: There is an additional 20 yuan for air conditioning in various rooms.

After arriving in the ancient city, you can go from house to house to check out the inns. Only stay if you see the one that suits your liking and the price. Don’t worry, choosing an inn is also a pleasure.

Personally, I prefer to live on the north bank of Tuojiang River, where it is more lively.
