1. Xuegong

Xuegong is located in the north of Dacheng Hall's back street, and the original "Southeast First School" gate square includes Mingdetang, Zunjing Pavilion, Qingyun Building, Chongsheng Temple and other ancient buildings. Mingdetang is the main building of Xuegong, and scholars in the imperial examination period came here every month to listen to lectures.

The learning palaces in China are all called "Minglun Hall", while the learning palaces in Confucius Temple are called "Mingde Hall" alone, which is said to be the reason why Wen Tianxiang inscribed the "Mingde Hall" plaque in the Song Dynasty. In 1986, during the maintenance of Mingdetang, the four lent houses of "Zhi Dao", "Zhi De", "Yi Ren" and "Recreation" on both sides were restored.

2. Dachengmen

When you enter the Xingxing Gate, you will meet Dachengmen. Confucius has done a comprehensive work on the ancient culture of China, and this gate is named "Dacheng". The stone lion stands in front of the door, and the corner gate is opened on the left and right.

There are four ancient monuments on both sides of the gate. The Monument to Confucius' Courtesy is a relic of the second year of Qi Yongming in the Southern Dynasty (484), the Monument to Confucius Temple in Jiqing was carved in the first year of Yuan Dynasty (133), the Monument to the Saint Lady was carved in the second year of Yuan Dynasty (1331), and the Monument to the Fourth Family was carved in the second year of Yuan Dynasty.

3. Pan Chi

The pool in front of Confucius Temple is generally called "Pan Chi". Lu Guoxue Palace is located on the bank of Panshui River. In the Zhou Dynasty, "the learning of the emperor was harmony, and the learning of the princes was pan", and it became a habit along the river. Before the Confucius Temple was built, a section of the Qinhuai River flowing through the square was transformed into a pan pool, thus making the Confucius Temple the only temple in China that uses natural running water as a pan pool.

1. Zhanyuan

Zhanyuan Scenic Area consists of Zhanyuan and Taiping Heavenly Kingdom History Museum. Zhanyuan Garden is the oldest existing garden in Nanjing, with a history of more than 6 years. It is a state-level cultural relic protection unit and one of the four famous gardens in the south of the Yangtze River. It is named after Ouyang Xiu's poem "Looking at the Jade Hall, as in the sky".
