as the saying goes, ten miles away from home, don't have a local flavor.
China is so big and there are so many ethnic groups, so the Spring Festival food is different from place to place, even in the rural areas in the north.
In my hometown, the foods that must be eaten during the Spring Festival are: New Year's Eve: chicken-good luck; Fish-more than a year; Lotus root-more than a year; Egg-round and full; Braised vegetables-family fun; Wine-forever. Peanuts, sunflower seeds, hazelnuts, pine nuts, candy, black tea, apples, chestnuts, and so on.
jiaozi in the first grade, pancakes in the second grade, cooking with rice in the third grade, and cleaning leftovers in the fourth grade.
jiaozi on the fifth day, relieved and longevity noodles on the seventh day.
