Lindong is a town under the jurisdiction of Chifeng City, and Chifeng does not belong to any province, but to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Lindong Town is the seat of the government of Balinzuo Banner. It is located in the middle of Balinzuo Banner, 270 kilometers away from the Hongshan District of Chifeng Municipal People's Government, between 43°57′-44°00′ north latitude and 119°21′119°25′ east longitude.
