On August 28, 2015, the online food ordering platform "Ele.me" announced the completion of a US$630 million Series F financing.

This round of financing was led by CITIC Industrial Fund and Hualian Holdings, with participation from new investors such as Chinese Cultural Industry Fund and Gopher Asset, as well as original investors such as Tencent, JD.com, and Sequoia Capital.

China Renaissance Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor for this round of financing.

After the financing, Ele.me’s valuation exceeded US$3 billion.

In April 2016, Ele.me formally reached a strategic cooperation agreement with Alibaba and Ant Financial, and received an investment of US$1.25 billion, once again setting a new record for the highest single financing amount for a global food delivery platform.

Among them, Alibaba invested US$900 million and Ant Financial invested US$350 million.
