1. Mountain Gate

The mountain gate is the gate of Shaolin Temple, which was built in the 13th year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1735) and renovated in 1974. The horizontal line outside the East Stone Square is "Zuyuan Diben" and the horizontal line inside is "Ba Tuo Chuang"; The internal banner of Xishifang is "Mahayana Resort" and the external banner is "Song Shaochan Forest". The main entrance of the mountain gate is a three-room-wide single-eaved building that rests on the top of the mountain. It is located on a two-meter-high brick platform, with hard-mountain side doors and splayed walls on the left and right.

2. Daxiong Hall

Daxiong Hall is located behind the Temple of the King of Heaven. Daxiong Hall is the center of Buddhist activities in the temple, and it is also called the three major Buddhist halls together with the Heavenly King Hall and the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion. The original building was destroyed in 1928 and rebuilt in 1986. There are statues of Sakyamuni, Pharmacist Buddha and Amitabha Buddha in the hall. In the middle of the hall, the four characters of "Baoshu Fanglian" written by Emperor Kangxi are hung. There is a statue of Guanyin on the back wall of the screen wall, and eighteen arhats are molded on both sides. The temple is dedicated to the statues of Sakyamuni, Amitabha Buddha and Pharmacist Buddha, and the Guanyin statue is hung behind the screen wall, with eighteen arhats standing on both sides. On the east side of Ursa Major Hall is Kinnara Hall, which was rebuilt in 1982.

3. the sutra depository

the sutra depository is located behind the hall of great heroes. The Buddhist Scripture Pavilion, also known as Fatang, was built in the Ming Dynasty, destroyed in the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928), and rebuilt in 1994. It is the place where monks and nuns hold Buddhist scriptures. The Tibetan Scripture Pavilion has a collection of eight million volumes, which is the place where monks and nuns hold scriptures. It contains a reclining Buddha statue of white marble presented by a disciple of Myanmar in Shaolin Temple in 1996. There is a big iron pot under the platform of the sutra depository, which was cast in Wanli of the Ming Dynasty. It was a small pot used by Shaolin Temple monks for cooking. To the southeast of the sutra depository is a meditation room, where monks meditate, while the opposite West meditation room is a hall for receiving guests.

4. The Dharma Cave has a natural stone cave at the upper part of the middle peak of the Wuru Peak behind the Shaolin Temple, which is called the Dharma Cave. At the beginning of Zen Buddhism, Zudharma sat quietly in this cave wall for 9 years from 527 to 536 AD. The Dharma Cave faces southwest, and the entrance of the cave is made of blue stones, with a depth of about seven meters and a height of more than three meters each. There are three stone statues on the platform in the cave, in which there is a sitting statue of Dharma and its disciples on both sides. According to the records in Shuo Song of Qing Dynasty, at the upper left of the cave, there was a small stone pagoda, which had already been destroyed. The east wall of the cave is inscribed with the word "true colors". There are four characters on the stone wall in the west outside the cave: "Face the wall and cave into the sky".
